Part 39 ~ I know something you don't know

Here we all sat, in the hotel lobby, on the steps, thinking, or at least I was thinking. I don't know how long we've been sitting in this silence but my head was going haywire. I felt Alastor slip his hand in mine, giving it a light squeeze as if to say 'it's going to be alright.' I gave him a soft smile in return. My attention was brought back to reality when I heard Viktor's voice.

"Hey. You seen Allison?"

"What the hell happened?" Luther asked Viktor, noticing the dark  red slice on his cheek. I muttered a 'come on' to Alastor and the others as I walked up to Luther and Viktor.

"It's, uh...It's not as bad as it looks."

"It looks as if you're lucky to be upright. Did Harlan do that?"

"We just got in a disagreement."

"That's an understatement," I slightly laughed, the cut on his cheek more than just a scratch.

"About what?" Luther pressed.

"It doesn't matter."

"So, I just checked the perimeter. We're good." Diego stated, walking up to us while flipping his knife in hand. "Now, we're gonna have to take turns."

"Oh my god! What happened to you?" Luther gasped, turning Diego around slightly to see a red mark on the back of his neck, a long, thin, red line, in the middle of the red. "Was it Harlan?"

"What?"

"The Sparrows are right. He shouldn't be here. He's dangerous," Luther voiced out, acting like he actually cares.

"He's only dangerous because I made him that way. This is my problem, and I appreciate your concern, but I'm gonna figure it out. I'm gonna fix it," Viktor stated, determined.

Allison came in, standing between me and Viktor. I noticed her knuckles were bloody, she seemed more calm and collected but not in a good way. She still had anger radiating off of her.

"What's going on?" She asked.

"Oh my god. He got you too?" Luther gasped.

"You okay?" Allison asked Viktor, noticing the gash on his cheek.

"Great. You?"

"Never better."

Our little discussion was cut short when a blue ball of light appeared right above us, Five and Lila falling right out of it. We moved to the side with a yelp, not expecting them to appear out of no where.

They collapsed onto a wooden table that was beside us, breaking it. Groans and hisses could be heard from the two, Lila pushing Five away from her with a grunt.

"Where have you been?" Viktor asked.

"Facing my mortality, Viktor." Five responded, getting up with a stumble. "I don't recommend it."

"You had the briefcase? We've been looking for this!" Allison yelled as she bent down to open it, dust emitting from it.

"Well, look no further. That's the last one on Earth. Or it was the last one."

Five inspected it, noticing it was completely broken, as Allison held it up. She threw it back on the ground, really pissed off, as she went to sit on the stairs, away from us.

Fie continued to inspect the briefcase further as Luther pulled Diego away from Lila to talk to him. I rolled my eyes, kicking the briefcase, more dust flying in the air.

"It's no use, Five. It's a goner," I sighed.

"Yeah. Okay. Hey, Chatty Cathys," Five looked at Luther and Diego, gaining their attention. "Quit the chitchat, alright? I'm calling a family meeting here. Where's Klaus?"
