Chapter One

"Sasha... I got a weird letter in the mail," I said, sitting on my porch.

"That's crazy, I did too..." Sasha replied, sitting next to me.

We both look at each other like we've gone mad. I pick up the letter in my hand and examine it.

"That looks just like my letter! Just it has my name on it!" Sasha exclaimed, sitting closer to me.

I gasped in excitement, "Go get yours!"

I didn't need to tell my best friend twice. She practically jumped off the porch and ran into her house. I could hear Sasha messing up inside her house, tumbling things over.

"Sorry," Sasha started, walking back. She was panting. "I hid the letter in case someone would open it before me."

The two of us look at each other worriedly and the excitement disappears. We flip the letter over and break the seal gently to find a note inside.

"We are pleased to inform you..." I started reading carefully.

"Accepted..." Sasha continued.

"At Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!" we both finished simultaneously.

"What the hell is this?" I asked Sasha, confused.

"Beats me," she shrugged in reply.

"Wait, are we... wizards?" I asked as my eyes widened.

"Holy shit! We are! We are!" Sasha said, jumping up and down.

I beamed with excitement and scream in joy. Both of us held each other's hands and jumped up and down in joy.

"But my mom will never believe me," Sasha started, glumly.

I frown and then look up to see a guy. Sasha and I took a step back since we had never seen him before.

"Are your parents at home," the man said.

"Yes..." I said, confused as I walked into the house and called for my mom.

My mom and Sasha's mom both came out of the house. The two of them were having tea together. They always do that, weekly.

"Yes, can I help you?" my mom asks as I wander over near to Sasha, the both of us clutching the letter tightly.

"Your daughter Y/N and your daughter Sasha are Muggle-born witches. So, they are entered into Hogwarts," the man said. "I am one of the professors, Severus Snape."

My mom looked at Sasha's mom and both looked bewildered.

After the man explained some more things a lightbulb in my head clicked.

"Sasha," I whispered, elbowing her. "We're going to magic school..."

It was the next day and that was the day when Sasha and I had to go to Diagon Alley to get our stuff.

My parents were still highly concerned about what was happening and I have no idea about Sasha; they probably that everyone on Earth has gone mad.

My parents paced around the room.

"Would you relax, this is amazing, I've gotten accepted into a school of magic!" I exclaimed.

My dad looked at me, "You're right, Y/N, this is an amazing thing, you are a witch! You have magical powers! Your mum and I should be more proud than worried!"

I looked over at my mom who was currently looking at me.

"Your right, this is good, dangerous but good," my mom said and she came up to me and hugged me.

There was a ring at the door and my dad went to go answer it.  It was Sasha, waiting shyly.

"Ready to go?" I called out and she nodded yes.

"I'm going to go to the inn nearby, at least that's what that guy said yesterday," I told my parents and they waved goodbye as I left the house, slowly closing the door.

I walked out of the house, stepping off the porch with a feeling of pride in myself since I was magical. Sasha treading behind me.

"What's wrong, Sash?" I asked.

"My parents yelled at me for believing that I was special. they said I was hysteric and they just told me to go, I don't think they care too much," Sasha answered.

I frowned, Poor Sasha... "Hey! At least I care! And you know what! We're going to have an amazing life knowing that we're witches! We magical, Sash! That's pretty cool. Not pretty cool, amazingly cool!"

Sasha let out a laugh, "Hell yeah, your right! But do you think two eleven-year-olds could be that special?"

I scoffed, "Of course, they could be special! And lucky for us those eleven-year-olds are, well me and you!"

We walked over to the Leaky Cauldron and went into the alley.

"That emo guy said it was one of these bricks," Sasha started, pressing them all.

"Be careful! We have to follow the pattern he gave us, and-" I scolded, and before I could finish, Sasha did it. She opened an entranceway to Diagon Alley.

"Woah..." we both said at the same time.
