Chapter Twenty-Five

It's the third year now. Sasha and I were in our dorms after Dumbledore's speech and dinner. 

"Why do they have new teachers every year?" I asked Sasha but she just shrugged in reply. 

"What do we have first tomorrow?" Sasha asked. 

"Divination," I answered.

"I am Professor Trelawney and together we shall cast ourselves into the future!" 

"I like this teacher," I whispered to Sasha. 

She looked at Harry's cup and she screamed, stepping back from his table. Harry quickly took the cup from Ron and looked inside it. 

"My dear... you have... the grim..."

Sasha and I tagged along with Hemrione, Ron, and Harry to our next class. It's taught by Hagrid; the Care of Magical Creatures. 

"You don't think that grim thing's got anything to do with Sirius Black, do you?" Ron asked. 

We walked down the steps until we got to Hagrid's hut. We went into the forest with Hagrid. 

The sun was streaming in through the tall trees and it was really nice scenery. 

"Form a group river there," Hagrid started. "And open your books to page 49." 

"And exactly how do we do that?" Draco said. 

"Just stroke the spine of course." 

"What the fuck," Sasha said to me. 

"God this place has gone to the dumps," Draco started and we all turned around to look at him. "Wait till my father hears that Dumbledore's got this oaf teaching classes." 

"Shut up, Malfoy," Harry said, walking up to him. 

Draco started walking closer to Harry and then looked behind Harry. He backed up a couple of steps and yelled, "Dementor, dementor!" 

The entire class turned around in fear until Draco and his friends started laughing as they put their hoods on and tried to look scary. 

Hemrione pulled Harry away from Draco and then Hagrid came with a tall creature. I stared as my eyes widened. 

"Isn't he beautiful?" Hagrid said and threw a piece of meat at the animal. "Say hello to Buckbeak." 

"Hagrid..." Ron started. "Exactly what is that?" 

"That Ron is a hippogriff," Hagrid explained. "First thing you wanna know about hippogriffs is that there very proud creatures, very easily offended. You do not want to insult a hippogriff, it may just be the last thing you ever do. Now! Who'd like to come and say hello?" 

Everyone stepped back but Harry. 

"Well done Harry," Hagrid beamed and Harry looked behind to see that everyone had stepped away. 

"You have to let him make the first move," Hagrid said as Harry slowly stepped up to Buckbeak. "Make your bow." 

Harry looked at the Hippogriff as he slowly bowed down. Then, Buckbeak bowed back.
