Training with 1b

Aizawa POV 

Today is one of those days where we train with 1b. Ugh. Vlad King had heard about the two new students in my class and had been repeatedly asking Nezu to sort out a joint training day. He says that it's for the development of both classes but I can tell that he just wants to make sure that Tado and Kaso are no threats to his softie class. Even though he knows that Tado is Oboro's kid and has the same quirk as him.

As we headed to the training area, we heard Monoma's annoying laughter. Today we decided to do something without hero suits. Monoma laughed "Better not lose 1a! Because 1a doesn't lose!" making my class sigh. For once we all have the same reaction.

All of a sudden, Nezu popped out of my scarf scaring everyone and said "Today's training is different, students! Today it'll be a one vs three from each class" he looked at me and Vlad "Use that spinning wheel on Google to decide on the trios and one person. Best of luck!".

I got my phone out and wrote down my classes name's (problem child ranks). I got no.9, no.16 and no.4 (Uraraka, Satou and Denki) for the group. Vlad gotten Monoma, Komori and Tsunotori. Doesn't seem like a big threat. I spun the wheel again and gotten... Kaso. Why is it the person who doesn't use their quirk in training? Vlad had gotten Kuroiro and since it's not dark, my team has a great shot of winning.

Nezu, who was still in my scarf, announced "Now you'll have ten minutes to discuss strategies with your groups and classmates". My and Vlad's class started to discuss the group fights.

I couldn't help but hear 1b's conversation. "Since I am the most powerful in the team battle, you two fight first. I will be able see how powerful this guy's fire is". Heh, that's what he thinks. But Monoma can still use Kaso's quirk either way.

The first was our team battle. It went quick and my guesses is that Vlad has never taught his class other ways to fight without quirks. At least my class can throw an non powerful punch. Kuroiro was defeated in minutes. However Monoma shouted "It's only victory if you win two battles!".

There was a break between the fights and everyone was telling Kaso not to let Monoma touch him. Kaso only gave an evil smile "Why not?" making everyone confused. He has a plan. A risky one at that.

After the break, Komori and Tsunotori got into battle stances whilst Monoma was at the back. Tsunotori then flung her horns at Kaso. But Kaso managed to avoid them by cartwheeling and then kicking her. She landed just right next to the line. She might've not gotten out the ring, but her and 1b were still surprised.

Komori then planted fungus around Kaso's arm and was about to attack. However Kaso bent over and grabbed her ankle, tripping her. Then he spun her around from her ankles; she was screaming at this moment; and he threw her. She flew into Tsunotori and both of them were out of the ring. 1b were now in utter shock and fear. Monoma was now left.

He ran to Kaso, but instead of attacking, Kaso put his arm out as though he wanted Monoma to touch him. And he did. Monoma backed away as soon as he got a touch of his hand.

"Stupid 1a, even when warned you all take the reckless option" he chuckled darkly. He was going to blow. Hopefully Kaso can survive till the end of training.

Monoma then gave out a blast of fire. It was so powerful compared to the ones Kaso has lit. If Monoma can do this so can he. But why doesn't he? What is stopping him? Luckily Kaso dodged the fire.

Suddenly, Monoma started to wail in pain. Kaso grinned at this and shouted "Why didn't you think about my weakness!?" His grin was so... sociopathic.

Monoma stopped the fire revealing that his arm was fully burned! The lov, 1a, 1b, Vlad, Nezu and me were speechless. As he knelt to his knees in pain, Kaso walked to him. He said one thing "You're too cocky" as he helped him up.

Tetsutetsu ran with Monoma in his arms to recovery girl. We all looked at Kaso, most were in disbelief but I was concerned. Was this his weakness? Was this why he didn't want to use his quirk? Was this why he made those quirk amplifiers?

I walked to him, he was sitting down, and said "Kaso-" "That was my quirk weakness. I burn myself if I use it with such power." He interrupted. Tado was on the over side and put his arm around him.

What are you hiding, Kaso?
