Chapter seven: Boot camp part 2:: Confession

Rin couldn't hold her forever and Naomi’s guilt was eating at her. “Let’s go after her…” Naomi says, voice shaking. Had she ever snapped like that before? Back home it was a sin to even think of doing so. “I can’t leave this like that..” rin longer legs allowed him to get to her faster but they was interrupted.

A scream rang out throughout the building and Naomi jumps. She runs on ahead leaving the two. Naomi turns the corner, immediately greeted by a ragdoll patchwork demon hovering over paku. It’s blood left heat in the air as it burned paku, leaving whelps

It seemed acidic. A ghoul! Naomi bares her teeth, paku has to be treated immediately!

“Healing grace! Lend me your luck!” Naomi mutters, a single white feather lands on paku and the demon jumps back. Naomi immediately summons her cerberus just as izumo summons her own.

“Tear it apart!” Naomi says, her worried gaze lingers on paku, the single feather was healing at an excruciating slow pace. She goes to try again but a burning sensation hit her, as if a knife was slowly peeling skin. She takes in a shaky breathe. Why?! She snarls in anger, Let me heal!!

Her cerberus shinigami jumps at the ghoul, sinking the teeth of its three heads into it. The beast thrashes around , throwing them but the demon dog lands gracefully, ready to attack. The ghoul roars and the puppy returns it with three echoing snarls. Naomi turns to Izumo whose frozen in fear. What’s she waiting for!? Her shinigami turn on her immediately. “How dare you!” one speaks up. “Your heart is weak, you are not worthy of our help!” Naomi gasps as it launches at her.

“Tear the paper!” Naomi screams. Rin suddenly appears and punches them.

“Tear up the paper! Do it!” Rin snaps and Izumo works fast. Naomi hears a yelp and turns to her cerberus being thrown into the wall.

“No!!” Naomi yells. “I release you!” she should have known no matter how rare, a baby demon is no match for a grown one.

“Stay back! I got it!” Rin says.

“Like hell you do!” Naomi snaps standing up. “Move.” She steps forward and the beast steps back. “I’ve trained for this,” She mutters.

“Do not reveal yourself, do you hear me?” Her father’s dark echoing voice reverberates in her head. In truth, she could do no more than rin, but she could be a distraction. It should take some time for the ghoul to guess her tricks and by then, she’d have dragged it out long enough.

“Rin! Naomi!” Shiemi appears. “Ms. Paku! I’ll take care of her, you get rid of the ghoul!” Shiemi commands. “Don’t just stand there!” Rin tsks and uses his covered sword to lob it. Naomi with her powers coating her hand and punches it. It screams and thrashes away. She focuses on the beast but then it speaks.

“My… young… prince…”

What..?

The ghoul moves fast and throws rin by the face straight through the bathroom doors. “Rin!” shiemi yells.

“I got him!” Naomi yells and jumps to slam her hand like a knife through the ghoul but it’s lightning-fast and slams her into the wall, cracking it. Her vision blackens.

Tears fall from her face as she sits bloodied. She can’t stop coughing it and as she looks up to her father, his grey eyes are absolutely freezing cold. “Why.. after all we worked for, why… are you an absolute failure? You can’t even use one attack without spewing your guts up, you pathetic little girl. If all you can do is die, then die in battle so we can pretend you did something honorable…”
