Y/N POV

I clear my throat trying to hide my nervousness.

Y/N: "Hey Ruby. Listen, I uh-"

She holds up her hand making me shut up. 

Ruby: "Where were you?"

Y/N: "I was... uh... looking for bad guys."

Ruby: "I called you."

Y/N: "Yeah about that I-"

Ruby: "We saved Vale. From a Grimm invasion. Without you."

Y/N: "Look I-"

Ruby: "There was a Grimm invasion! Lots of people got hurt! And you weren't even there!"

She gets in my face.

Ruby: "We're supposed to be a team Y/N. Yet you left me when I needed you most. That really hurt."

Y/N: "Ruby-"

She puts her on my mouth.

Ruby: "I don't know what you're going through. But clearly it's got you distracted. Therefore, I think we should take a break."

Y/N: "What're you saying?"

Ruby: "That we need to take a break. At least until you gave give us, your full attention."

Y/N: "You have my full attention."

Ruby: "Then what's eating you? What is that's got you distracted?"

I try to say the truth but I made a promise to Amica. No one must ever know he exists. I look down at the floor. The sadness emanating from her is enough to make my heart sink. She at least kisses my forehead.

Ruby: "I'll be with my team. When you're ready to talk come visit."

She walks out the door. I'm left all alone with my thoughts. At least I wish.

Amica: "Listen Y/N, I-"

Y/N: "I don't wanna talk. Let's just go hunt."

He transports us into Vale. From there we just take down any criminals that we find. The next day I walk through the hallways. Looking down the hall I see Ruby walking. I wave. She shows some happiness but loses it heading into her dorm. I now find myself sitting on the edge of Beacon Summit. Looking down I see the bustling streets of Vale.

Y/N: "Hey Amica. Have you ever been in love?"

Amica: "I can feel what you feel if that helps."

Y/N: "Not really."

I look at the metal statue seeing his face.

Y/N: "What do I do Amica?"

Amica: "I don't know. Love for me is... confusing."

Y/N: "It'd be easier if we could just tell her."

Amica: "I know. But she'd only just become a target."

I begin crying.

Y/N: "I don't wanna lose her. But as this rate I just might."

A tendril wipes away my tears. I stand up walking to the edge. I close my eyes stepping into the cold hand of gravity. I fall for a few seconds but I stop. Opening my eyes I see a tendril wrapped around a flagpole. I'm slowly hoisted back to safety.

Y/N: "I should've known you'd save me."

Amica: "I may be able to heal physical wounds. But wounds to the heart are... tricky. But know that I'll be here. Whenever you need me."

I sigh. She deserves to know the truth. Out of the blue a helicopter reveals itself. I'm then blinded by a spotlight. This lets me get bombarded by explosions of light. As pain courses through my body I feel Amica slip out of my body. After that the world goes black as something hits my neck.

3rd POV

The lights finally subside. Two armored men then hop out dragging Y/N onto the helicopter. It then flies away leaving the area. But panning under the ledge is Amica in blob form.

Amica: "Y/N. Must get Ruby."

He drops landing on a bird. Possessing it he uses it to fly to Beacon.
