"can't believe these girls are leaving us on thanksgiving" reece's mom pouted as we were helping her in the kitchen before we left.

"you said it was fine last night" reece brought up, laughing.

"I said if you wanna skip out on thanksgiving with your real family, then it was fine" mrs.james restated.

like everyone knew, as soon as I told reece about the invite to thanksgiving at the christopher's, she wasted no time letting her mom down.

i couldn't really say anything because I had basically did the same thing, which mine took it personally. even though she liked reece, she would've much rather me come home.

"I really need to meet the boy that got you skipping out on your family" her mama said causing me to roll my eyes.

"probably won't last that long" reece's 15 year old sister raelyn yelled, walking passed the entrance. i let a smile come across my face but I refrained from laughing.
