I soon began to see a crowd of people. I walked further and saw Steven walking with a girl. Wow, I thought. Go Steven.

"Vic you made it!" I heard someone call. I looked around and saw jere walking towards me. "Here I'll get you a drink and I'll introduce you to my friends."

They must have all drove because I left before them.

I watched him walk over to the drinks and pick up something. I glanced around to see who else was here and I spotted Conrad, he was making out with a girl.

I recognized her. Nicole. Susannah told me that Conrad went to the deb ball with her last year, even after he swore he would never go to one of those. After he told me he wouldn't be my date because he thought deb balls were stupid.

I wasn't mad that he went to the deb with her, I was mad that he was still hooking up with her despite how she treated me when I was a deb.

I tried to ignore the fact that he was here with her, and walked towards jere and his friends.

"There you are, here's your drink." He said handing me a beer.

"Thanks." I said smiling. I looked around at his friend group. It contained 2 really pretty blonde girls that I didn't recognize, and 3 guys, one stuck out.

He was tall. He had fluffy blonde hair. He had a gentle smile, and when he talked, his voice soft. He looked over at me and smiled. I smiled back.

A while passed and someone walked over. "Hey you're Victoria right? Jeremiah's friend." It was the same blonde boy that was hanging out with jere.

"It's Vic, and yeah. Sorry I didn't catch your name earlier." I said apologizing.

"Banks, Adam Banks." He responded.

"Are you new this summer, I've never seen you around?" He asked.

"No, I actually come here every summer but I'm not much of a partier, so I've never really been to any social things here." I said. "Are you new?" I asked.

"Yeah I actually just moved here from Edina Minnesota about 6 months ago." He said.

"Oh cool." I said. We continued having a conversation until I heard someone yelling. I turned around and saw belly getting up from the sand.

"What the hell?" I scoffed.

"Who's that?" Adam asked.

"My sister." I said not impressed.

"Are you gonna go take her home?" He asked concerned.

"Nope." I said trying to ignore that my underage sister was at a party.

We kept talking. He was super nice, not to mention attractive. He played hockey. He showed me some videos and pictures of him and his team. He was super talented.

I was surprised. He actually wanted to have a conversation with me, not just drink and hook up.

He was talking and I heard a commotion going on behind us. I turned around to see Conrad and the guy from the gas station yelling at each other.

"I should probably go and see what's going on, it was nice meeting you," I said while getting up.

He smiled, "it was nice meeting you too, maybe we can hangout sometime."

I nodded and started to walk towards Conrad.

"Dude give me my beer back," Conrad slurred.

"Conrad stop you're drunk." Nicole added.

"No I want my fucking beer back!" He spat.

"Whatever," she said pushing past him.

I walked up towards the gas station guy. "Guys stop it's just a beer, you can get another one Conrad." I suggested.

Suddenly Conrad swung at the guy, as the other guy backed up and I felt his elbow swing backwards, hitting my face.

"V!" Conrad said concerned. As he said that the guy went back at him.

"Oh God are you okay?" I heard Adam say, bending down to help me up.

"All good." I groaned trying to get up. He helped me up and put his hand on the bruise that was forming on my face.

Out of no where, someone was yelling that cops were there. Adam grabbed my hand and we ran towards the road.
