Chapter 25

A hand gloved hand clamped over my mouth, making me feel dizzy from the lack of oxygen.

???: There you are I've been waiting for you.

I recognize that voice..

Still wonder why we haven't left the house.

I realized who my attacker was. I scent the familiar scent of fresh fallen snow hits me hard.

IT WAS JADEN!

Jaden: You like learning things the hard way.

Maddison: Jaden.. Fuck off!

Jaden: Angel, I've told you never open the door when I'm not home. Or anything at all. The maids and everyone else leaves around 7.  You know how dangerous The Ramirez's are or any other gangs.

Jaden's grip on me is rough.

I gasp as he shoves me against the door.

He bends me over, body enveloping mine and pressed so tight to me.

Jadens behind me now.

Jaden: A pretty thing like you, Maddison, they will do more than just kill you.

What is he saying...

Dark thoughts fill my mind as Jaden's fingers dig into the soft flesh of my hips.

Jaden: A trapped rabbit is a dead rabbit.

His free hand travels from my hips to my throat...

Fingers curling up around my neck as he presses a single finger against my lips.

Jaden:..The best thing for a rabbit to learn is how to not get caught...

I squirm beneath his weight, desperate to free myself.

To prove I'm not weak.

As I squirm, Jaden presses that single finger between my lips, forcing them open.

Jaden: Bite.

What! Jaden, you're weird.

Jaden: Show me you can fight, Maddison.

His finger slips into my mouth, teasing me as he leans forward...

His hot breath a dark whisper against my ear as his hips press deeper into me.

Jaden: Fight back, little rabbit. Bite back. Fight.

What I'm about to do is dumb.

I shook my head as hot desperate tears form in my eyes.

As if sensing my distress, Jaden pulls his hand away from me and steps back.

Maddison: What's wrong with you. You scared me, and then you hurt me!

Jaden: I was proving a point.

Maddison: You're proving a point by being cruel? Because that's what you're doing Jaden: being cruel!

Jaden: Life is cruel..

Despite Jaden's cold tone, I can hear a torrent of other emotions beneath the ice.

Fear. Desperation. Worry. Disappointment.

Jaden: The Ramírez family, they don't just kill.

He crossed his hands

Jaden: they stalk. They hunt. They assault and torture. I don't want that to happen to you..... again.

Maddison: I was fine. Just got tied up, and jumped out a window.

Jaden: I should've stayed with you till you fell asleep. Let's go upstairs. I'll make some tea for you.

Jaden just wanted to protect me.

Jaden: you're different than when I first met you.

Maddison: A lot has changed since then.

Jaden: You're way much more confident. And sexier.

He came behind me and kissed my neck.

Maddison: Neither of us are going to apologize for tonight, are we?

Jaden: It would be easier if you.. just followed my instructions.

I turned around.

We were about an inch away.

Maddison: Jaden.. I'm not like one of your slits you have, or your assistant, and your "men".

I smiled at him and gave him a kiss, and went to shower.

~Jaden's POV~

I walked into the bathroom.

Her perfect body getting wet.

I opened the glass door.

Maddison: Jaden I'm naked. Plus the water is getting on you.

I couldn't stop looking at her. She's just so perfect.

Jaden: Ill be waiting for you.

I winked at her and left
