blaring scarlet lights filled the small cabin. she clutched the armrests, breathing heavily as her eyes glued shut. screams of all kind filled her ears, causing her breaths to become harder to push out and take in, a weight pressing into her chest the whole time.
in her last moments, she dreamed of her little brother, nick, who she just wanted to visit. her love for her brother was immeasurable, expanding beyond the vastness of the galaxy. he always knew how to pick her up, but he no longer could once the plane dissipated into the ground. she just hoped she could haunt him, see him one last time.
she had decided to visit distant relatives in italy, ones she hadn't seen since nick's birth. it had been atleast 17 years, almost two full decades since laying eyes on her grandmother and her family. without her knowledge, tears had begun pouring from her eyes, running a race down her cheeks before falling off her chin.
screams from all ages surrounded her, pain and anguish filled the air. a lip quivered as she begun fully sobbing, missing her family and friends. she relaxed, realizing it was okay for her to scream too. one filled to the brim with absolute agony pushed itself from her lungs, glad it was the last thing that would be heard from her.
her world went black.
