The next morning I woke up and looked around. Everyone has already left the boys dormitory. I got up and changed into my uniform and left the room.
I have a feeling that today I'm going to make huge progress in this investigation. But then I'm afraid if someone on this special squad murdered Bernard Shultz.
I walked into the library nervous if someone might walk in. So I decided to go into the archive and decipher this code. Opening the book there was a note to Wolfgang. It told me exactly what I needed to do to decipher this.
We are clenched in the first of a cruel fate that punished us for our wrongdoings. Only the blue-haired girl was fiercely resisting that experiment. We've been supporting her. Her long legs were driving all other girls mad.
After reading that note I decided to talk to Helga. This note was obviously talking about her. Which now I wonder about this experiment. But hopefully she would tell me about my questions. Walking into the linen room she was sitting in the chair.
"Are you free? I'd like to talk for a bit." I asked
"Actually, I'm really busy." She said plainly
"It won't take long."
"Right now?" She asked
"That'd be best." I sighed
"Okay. What do you have there? Wait, since you're bothering me you have to help iron the laundry." She pointed to the corner
"Do you think you're fighting for a just cause?" I started ironing the clothes
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Do you support your side of the war?"
"Like you know anything about it."
"You want to change the world for the better, protect nature, fight superstitions... Accelerate evolution?" Eventually I questioned if I really knew
"Something like that." She shrugged
"And how are you going to further these plans?"
When I asked that question she looked at the ground. So I decided to try to approach it differently.
"Do you like it here?" I asked
"As you can see, I'm doing nothing while someone else is at the front lines." She looked into my eyes
"So you don't like it, right?"
"Bull's eye."
"You haven't answered about how you feel about this side of war."
"What is there to say? I'm with the people that are with me." She sighed deeply
"Hm are they experimenting here?"
"We have weapon testing."
"Any other experiments?"
She stayed silent, her cigarette becoming a nub. She put the cigarette out on her hand revealing many more cigarette marks.
"You're asking weird questions, have you been listening to Yakov too much?" She looked at me suspiciously
"I heard you were in some kind of experiment." I started panicking
"Really? Who said that?"
"That's just something I heard."
"Then perhaps, you would like to ask the one who runs their mouth? This conversation is over, Nemo." She looked irritated
