Swiftly gathering their things and bidding a quick goodbye to Dadan and the crew as they fled from the house.
"Hey! Luffy! ( Y/N )! You two stay and do some laundry and clean the house! Finish your chores, damn it!" Dadan called out to them.
"No way!" Luffy turned and stuck his tongue out before turning and running off.
( Y/N ) quickly bowed to them as she inched away, "I'll finish it quickly when we get back, don't worry!"
"Oh, right," Sabo abrupted stopped, causing Luffy to run into him and fall back. Facing Dadan and the others, he called out, "While we're gone, the Bluejam clan might come by so be careful!"
"The Bluejam clan might come by? Why?"
Sabo further elaborated, "Because we beat some of his crew up! Bye!"
"Dadan sure is an understanding worthless old bag!" Sabo lightly praised.
"She's still a worthless old bag," Ace countered.
"Plus she's a mountain bandit and her face is scary," Luffy chimed.
"You guys are so rude," ( Y/N ) scolded, "She may be a grouchy old grinch but at least she's taking care of us." If you can even call it being "taken care of".
Ace clicked his tongue, "You're giving the old hag too much credit, ( Y/N ). She'd kick us out in a heartbeat if she was able to."
Sabo chose to move on, "What are we gonna do now?"
"First..." Ace began before Luffy finished the statement,
"Let's eat something!"
Sabo grinned, "Okay! Let's eat something!"
( Y/N ) had claimed that she would be able to catch them something to eat. Considering she had been learning how to have a better grasp on her abilities, she was confident that she could use it at will.
However, Ace rebuked, stating that rather than simply killing something, she would just disintegrate it, and they would end up with nothing.
As much as she hated to admit it, he was right. In the end, Ace and Sabo caught and grilled a large fish.
As the three ate - and Luffy salivating over the sight - Sabo initiated the conversation, "Luffy, so you ate the Devil Fruit?" "Uh-huh." "No wonder you can't swim. Here, you can have this," he tossed Luffy the tail of the fish, which the younger boy graciously thanked him for.
"You're too kind, Sabo. Starting to think you're going soft..." Ace stated, "...like ( Y/N )." As he anticipated, he received a heavy blow to the head from the girl. At this point, he came to accept it.
Sabo grinned, "What's wrong with showing a little kindness? So," he turned back to Luffy, "What fruit did you eat?"
