A King's Love

Chapter 3

I woke up to the sound of the shower running and Namiko on my back.

"Nova! Wake up! Wake up!" I groaned and rolled over so she would fall off me. I stretched then looked to the bathroom to see Kalidas stepping out with a towel wrapped lowly around his waist.

"'Morning y'all." He smiled as he walked to the closet to get ready. I told Namiko to go get ready for today.

"Where are you going?" I asked as Kalidas came out pulling a shirt over his head.

"Going to work. You wanna come? We can take Nova to my Mom's house to hang out."

I thought about it for a second before nodding my head and going into the bathroom to shower. I was out in 10 minutes and went to my room to get ready. I put on my ripped denim shorts, with a black and white boss shirt with my black vans. I put on my studs and a cross bracelet to match my sideways cross necklace.

"You ready to go?" Kalidas asked as I stepped out of my room.

"Yeah, we can go now." I said with a smile.

We headed to his moms house soon after. I've always wondered where he worked. I thought it was some normal job until he came home at 2 o'clock in the morning and only went like twice a week.

"So where do you work?" I couldnt hold it in anymore.

"Uhmm...I'm sorta a boss of a big company." He said sounding uneasy. I was about to speak when we pulled up to his Mom's house. Namiko was the first one to jump out the car. She was in love with Mrs.Brenda, the were practically best friends. We followed behind her as she frantically knocked on the door. I grabbed her hand and pulled her away so she would stop. Mrs.Brenda opened the door and smiled at us. After she look Namiko, Kalidas and I hopped back in the car and drove to his "job."

About 45 minutes later we pulled up to a building that looked abandoned. I began to get scared but calmed down when Kalidas grabbed my hand and intertwined out fingers. We walked into the building and the inside looked much better than the outside. There were leather couches and chairs. Nice soft looking carpet and a nice kitchen but not as nice as Kalidas' house. We walked into the livingroom to see a bunch of guys and two girls sitting on the couches.

"What's up King." One boy with a curly fro said dapping up Kalidas.

"Nothing, everybody this is Nova. Nova, this is Jayceon, Maurice, Cole, Derrico, Cienna, and Laila." He introduced pointing to each person.

Jayceon was a lightskin dude with a curly fro and gorgeous eyes. Maurice also had a curly fro, but it was more tamed than Jayceon's and he was a mocha colored man. Cole was a tan white boy with shaggy brown hair and piercing green eyes. Derrico had to be the finest of them all. Darkskin, curly fro with shaved sides, deep brown eyes, and braces on his pearly white teeth. He looked flawless.

Cienna was also a tanned white girl with blonde hair and gorgeous blue eyes. She hugged up on Cole so I assumed they dated. Laila was a gorgeous girl. Medium thick brown hair, caramel skin, and brown eyes kinda like mine. I don't like how she was mean muggin' me. If we got a problem, I have no problem solving it right now.

"Hey." Was all I said with a small wave. I got "Hi's" and "Wassup's" back except my Laila who just rolled her eyes and played with her phone.

"We have work to do, so get up and get started." Kalidas ordered. They all got up and went about their business. Kalidas took me down the hall and into an office. He set down behind the desk and i took a seat on the couch against the wall. He began to look through some papers and sign things.
