Chapter 5

I'm going to work with Kalidas again today. I can't wait to see you Cienna. We've become really good friends over these past few months. I'm a little skeptical on what's going to happen with Kalidas and Derrico. Cienna told me he hasn't been to work in a while but he will be there today because they have a job. I was dressed in skinny jeans, my black Daisy top, and my black combat boots. I walked down the stairs to see Namiko and Kalidas sitting on the couch eatinf cereal and watching Spongebob. Kalidas was the main one laughing with his childish self. I walked over to them and took Kalidas' cereal.

"Hey! I was gonna finish that shit Nova!" He yelled at me.

"Ooooo! Nova, he said a bad word he owes me a dollar!" Namiko yelled smiling hard.

This girl loves money.

"Yeah Kalidas, You owe Namiko a dollar." I smirked taking a bite of cereal.

He handed her a dollar and told me we needed to leave. We all got in the car and headed to Ms.Brenda's house. Namiko ran to the door once again with Kalidas behind her. I stayed and waited in the car. Kalidas soon came back and we were off to the warehouse.

We pulled up and I got out quickly. Kalidas was soon behind me unlocking the door.

"Nova!" I heard Cienna yell before she attacked me with a hug.

I laughed and greeted her back. We walked further into the house and saw everybody sitting down. Derrico was starring at me the minute i walked in. He smirked behind me and took a sip of the coke-a-cola in his hand. Kalidas walked into the livingroom and put his arm around my shoulder to pull me close.

"We have a job tonight. Be ready and don't be late."

Was all Kalidas said before dragging me to the office with him. We reached his office and he pulled me into his lap after he sat down.

"I don't want you around him, Nova." He said sternly.

"Why not? Why did y'all fight anyway?" I asked curiously.

He sighed and rubbed his hands down his face.

"He said some disrespectful shit that I didn't like so I handled it."

I took his hands into mine and intertwined our fingers.

"You don't have to stick up for me. I'm a big girl." I said teasingly.

He chuckled and repositioned me so that I was straddling him.

"I just want you to be safe." He admitted. I smiled and pecked his lips softly.

"When y'all leaving tonight?" I asked

"At 11. Maybe 11:30." He replied looking at his clock.

"So what am I gonna do whime you being all big and bad tonight? I won't have anybody to cuddle with." I slightly pouted.

He smiled showing his pearly whites and then peaked my lips multiple times. That caused me to smile and kiss him back.

"I'll be back before you know it." You'll have Cienna to talk to as well."

"Alright. I guess I can live with that." I said playfully rolling my eyes.

We sat in his office laughing and playing around until it was time for them to go. I watched as they packed what seemed like hundreds of guns into their vanss. When they were done Cole went to kiss cienna and Kalidas walked over to me. I started to get a little worried about them. Mainly Kalidas.

"Promise me that you're gonna be okay." I said starring up at him.

"I promise babe. Imma be perfectly fine and when I come back we can cuddle all you want." He promised with a smirk.

I held out my pinky for him to interlock his with. Kalidas playfully rolled his eyes but still held my pinky. I smiled big and kissed him to seal it. He walked back to the car and they were gone.

It's 2 o'clock and they're still not back.

I'm worried sick about them and want to know what's going on. Cienna is worried too, but isn't saying anything. I jumped out of my thoughts when the door burst open and they walked in carrying a wounded Kalidas.

"What the hell happened to him?" Cienna yells walking around my frozen figure

"He got shot in the shoulder! The bullet is deep!" Derrico answered.

"Get him on the table so I can get it out! Hurry up!" Laila yelled

I saw Kalidas going in and out of consciousness. I tried to run over to him but Cole and Cienna stopped me. I didn't realize I was crying until she wiped away my tears. They took me in their office and set me down. I kept trying to get up but Cienna stopped me everytime.

"Why can't i see him!?" I shouted as the tears continued.

"Laila needs concentration. Just give her an hour to work and then you can see him." She pleaded with me

I nodded and set further down in the chair. The hour felt like days until finally Laila walked in Cole's office.

"He wants to see you." She said rolling her eyes. I ignored her attitude and ran into the livingroom.

Kalidas was on the couch with his shoulder wrapped up.

"Come here Nova." He said looking at me a little drowsy.

I walked over to him slowly and set next to him. I didn't want to get to close and hurt him.

"Come closer NoNo. You're not gonna hurt me." I scooted closer and looked at the bandage on his shoulder.

"Are you okay?" I asked in a hoarse voice.

"I'm fine. Just a little sore. I can still cuddle though." He smirked

I laughed and we began talking about what happened. He told me out of nowhere people started shooting and he got hit by a stray bullet.

"I'm glad you're okay, but I wanna go home and sleep." I said with a yawn.

"Alright let's say bye to everyone then we can go."

We said bye to everybody then hopped in the car and headed home. I pulled into the driveway and we got out the car. Kalidas walked ahead of me and opened the door. He headed to the kitchen and I headed to his room. I stripped down until I was in the bra and panties. I heard Kalidas come into the room. He came up behind me and wrapprd his arms around my waist. He trailed kissed from my next to my collarbone. I smirked and pushed him away.

"You're not my boyfriend remember?" I smirked as I walked backwarss towards the bed. He smacked his teeth and went to the bathroom starting a shower. A cold shower.
