A King's Love

Chapter 7

I was in the car with Cienna on the way back home. I didn't wanna go but she told me that we needed to talk this out like adults. She pulled into the driveway as I took a deep breath.

"Call me if you need me." She said giving me a small smile.

I gave her one back and got out the car. I walked into the house using my spare key. Kalidas and Namiko were watching cartoons as always. I walked up to Namiko and kissed her forehead before walking upstairs.

I went into the bathroom and stripped out of my clothes. I stayed in the shower for about an hour before getting out. I walked out the bathroom to see Kalidas sitting on Namiko's bed. Which would soon be ME and Namiko's bed.

I walked past him and went to get underwear and clothes before walking back into the bathroom. I came back out in a black tank top and black and white joggers.

"Are you gonna ignore me?" I heard Kalidas ask me.

I ignored him and walked out the room and downtstairs. I sat on tbe couch with Namiko as he came walking down the steps. The doorbell rung and he went to go get it. After a few minutes he called my name. I walked around the corner to see a little boy about Namiko's age standing outside holding a teddy bear.

"What's your name?" I asked him softly as he looked at Kalidas in fear.

"Jamal." He answered in a small voice. He had curls on his head and big brown eyes. He was the cutest with his little dimples.

"Where's your mom?" I asked crouching down on my knees.

"She just left me here and told me she loved me." He replied on the verge of tears. I opened my arms and he walked into them and cried on my shoulder. I picked him up and rubbed his back in small circles to try and calm him down.

"How about you stay with us until she comes back?"

"I don't want her to come back. Her boyfriend hurt me bad." He whined.

I asked him where he hurt him and he pointed to his back. I set him down and pulled his shirt up to see welts and scars all over his back. I covered my mouth as Kalidas sighed and looked down at me.

"You can stay with us lil' man." Kalidas said to Jamal.

Jamal looked at him and then hesitantly walked over to Kalidas and raised his arms up. Kalidas smiled and picked him up. He took him into the livingroom to introduce him to Namiko. They instantly clicked and began watching tv together.

"Nova lemma talk to you real quick."

I followed him into his bedroom and sat down in the middle of the bed.

"You can't stay mad at me forever. Especially now with Jamal being here. I'm sorry for what I said. I wasn't thinking and I shouldn't have said that to you." He apologized.

I stayed silent for a second before opening my arms. He smiled wide then walked into my arms tackling me on the bed. I laughed as he began to tickle my sides. When he finally stopped I had to catch my breath.

"So we cool again, Ma?" He asked looking at me. "Yeah we're cool, Kali."

He smiled letting his dimples sink in before leaning in to kiss me. The kiss started to get heated but before we could do anything Namiko and Jamal knocked at the door saying they were hungry. Kalidas got off me and I went to cook some lunch. I cooked grilled cheese and gave them some chips. While they were eating I cleaned up the dishes.

"Cna you be my new mommy?" Jamal asked after patting my legs. I looked down at him for a minute as he looked up at me with hopeful eyes.

"Yeah sweetie. I'll be your new mommy if you want." I said kneeling down to his size. He hugged me tight and i kissed his cheek.

"That makes you my daddy!" He yelled running towards Kalidas and jumping in his arms.

Kalidas just stood there stunned as Jamal hugged him. Finally he hugged him back even tighter. I smiled at the moment as Namiko came up to me and sat on my lap.

"Can I call you mommy and daddy too? I wanna be a big family again." She asked me looking sad. I kissed her forehead.

"We've been like mother and daughter for a while now so I already see us as a big family." I said smiling at her.

"Yay! Kali, you're my new daddy too!" She yelling jumping out my lap and running to attach to Kalidas' leg. I laughed as he tried to walk around with her on there.

I think I can get use to this big family.
