MINUTES TICKED ON, bringing an impatient twinge to Erin's mind

MINUTES TICKED ON, bringing an impatient twinge to Erin's mind. It appeared the kidnapping of a witch took longer than Klaus believed. Although, he did plan to do so in broad daylight smack dab in the middle of the French Quarter. That would hinder a smooth getaway with someone in tow.

Speak of the devil.

A rush of air whipped through the sitting room, causing Erin's hair to shift from the unseen force. She snapped to an armchair from where she claimed one nearby, finding a dark haired woman sitting on the maroon cushions. She looked a few years older than herself with a tattoo across her right shoulder.

Sophie Deveraux, the witch linked to Hayley and who led her coven's rebellion against Marcel. Erin hadn't officially met her since she arrived in New Orleans. And truthfully, it was probably for the best. No need for her to get mixed up on the brewing war between the witches and vampires. She promised Elena she wouldn't, or at least try not to.

"We had a deal!" Klaus exclaimed with a heated glare set on the witch. "You protect my unborn child, I dismantle Marcel's army. And whilst I've been busy fulfilling my part of the bargain, you allowed Hayley to be attacked and almost killed by a gaggle of lunatic witches." He dropped down onto the sofa across from her, not breaking his look from her in the slightest.

Erin pressed her lips together. It wasn't like she also didn't die or anything. However, she guessed that wouldn't matter to the witch. Probably didn't matter to him either, but she digressed.

Sophie immediately shook her head as her eyes widened. "I had nothing to do with it, I swear. Hayley and I are linked, remember? She dies, I die."

"Then who were they?" Rebekah questioned from where she perched on the armrest of the sofa.

Sophie looked her way, casting a suspicious glance toward Erin, before she sighed. "They're a faction of extremists. Sabine stupidly told them about some vision she had about the baby."

Erin' brows creased. That must've been the strange trance Sabine fell into when she helped Hayley figure out to sex of her baby. The night she stayed with the werewolf, while Klaus and Rebekah tried to find Elijah. Erin tried to decipher the language the witch muttered afterward, but she came up empty.

The New Orleans coven didn't perform spellwork in Latin like Bonnie and the few witches she encountered. It would take Erin a little while to get used to the change.

Klaus scooted toward the edge of the side and stared toward the witch with furrowed brows. "What kind of vision?" he questioned.
