WARM SPRING AIR descended across the entirety of New Orleans much faster than Erin realized in recent days. The layers she wore were slowly traded in for singular articles of clothing, while her jeans transitioned into capris and even shorts on a particularly sunny day. Before long, her summer wardrobe would return, along with the unbearable heat and humidity. She already began to dread it.

To her pleasure, a cool breeze twisted through the lively campus of Tulane University that morning. Erin strode down one of the many cobblestone walkways, contemplating where she should grab lunch before her next class of the day. The food-court was overpriced and lacked the taste to correspond with it, but the nearest restaurant or bar was a bit of a walk. Good thing she had gotten used to that mode of transportation since she moved to the city.

Erin decided on a close restaurant and began to head in its direction as her phone rang. She reached into the pocket of her jean jacket and glanced at the screen. The caller ID brought a smile to her lips as she raised the speaker to her ear. "How're renovations going?" she questioned lightly.

"Positively wonderful," Elijah voiced in a similar manner.

In the wake of the French Quarter vampires' exile from the Compound, Elijah mentioned how dull and lifeless it now appeared that they were gone. A hundred years of the building being a glorified frat house did nothing for its integrity. So, Erin suggested that he do a little sprucing up. The home would look infinitely better, and the loud construction would annoy Klaus to no end. It was a win-win scenario.

Erin smirked. "And how's Klaus taking it?"

"About as well as expected," Elijah replied, amusement clear in his tone.

Erin snorted as she continued down her path through campus. "Good. He deserves it," she quipped in return.

"Yes, he does. And whilst we're on the subject, I have encountered an annoyance of my own," Elijah relayed with a slight twinge to his voice. "The witches have requested the return of their feast days. La Fête des Bénédictions to be precise."

Erin's brows creased, rolling the French over in her mind for a translation. The language class back in high school, and now in college, came in handy the longer she lived within the city. "Feast of the Blessings," she finally answered.

"Yes," Elijah confirmed. "In the past, members of the community offered witches gifts in exchange for blessings. They would like to use this event to introduce the Harvest Girls to the city."
