(Duel Academy, Obelisk Blue Dorm Room) Kūsho yawns as he gets up hearing the all the noise his dorm mates were making and opens his door and pokes his head out into the main dorm area seeing everyone eating and talking. He sighs and grabs some food before going back to his room. While eating he turns off his room lights and pulls the blinds shut as he puts his deck on the desk and slowly opens it, a stream of darkness pours out coating the room in its entirety until white, silver and grey outlines begin to form revealing a small meeting room of sorts where his three best monsters are seated opposite him. No words are spoken for a few moments before Zarnc breaks the silence "Your father left a message from beyond..." Kusho looks at him and narrows his eyes "Certain?" Zarnc nods slowly, Kusho breathes deeply "Show me". Zarnc reaches through a portal opened beside him and pulls out a small white box with black markings almost invisible in the room due to the conflicting colours but Kusho sees its clearly "So he made more deals then I thought..." Zarnc nods again "Enough that the price was his binding to the primal void" Kusho sighs and grabs the box and slowly opens it, revealing a white and silver mask with black markings and a set of cards next to it. Kusho picks up the cards and slots them into his deck without a word before picking up and staring at the mask. "What is this?" Arvil let's out a quiet screech before speaking in a shrill voice "It was your fathers duelling mask I believe...from his time as the Void's champion...a role it seems...he also wishes for you" Kusho blankly stares at the mask as if over analysing it "I see...I haven't yet decided if the champion's path will be mine...but we shall see" a small sphere of light appears in the middle of the desk momentarily shocking the four void born monsters while Kusho stares at it in surprise "...She's here..." the void born monsters vid him farewell and the darkness sinks back into his deck and he is back in his room and turns the lights back on and reopens the blinds. Kusho breathes deeply before slowly putting his stuff back into his bag and then he walking out of his dorm following the gut feeling of the light being close by.
(Duel Academy, Courtyard) He walks around feeling the light close by but sees nothing "Where could she be-" he feels something crash into his side and cause him to nearly fall backward but catches himself and quickly looks to his side and sees a familiar head of flowing golden hair "Raito...it's been a while" Raito smiles softly and lifts their head up revealing themselves "What no how I missed you or I'm so happy to see you" Kusho weakly chuckles "Yk I'm not for over the top pleasantries" Raito sighs as she slowly lets go of the hug "Well maybe that might change some day" Kusho smiles slightly "Maybe". Raito chuckles "And change your expression it's spreading misery being stuck like that" she pushes his lip up to force a smile and Kusho sighs "But it's my neutral one" Raito retorts "Still miserable" the two continue to talk for a while before Kusho goes leaves to go back to his dorm only to be pulled back by Raito "Oh come on your not even gonna stick around with me for a bit...we still have some time before classes" Kusho chuckles "Hm...fair point" they begin walking around the courtyard and Kusho learns Raito was placed into Ra's Dorm "Heh matches your style perfectly" Raito laughs "What the yellow on top of yellow?" Kusho nods and Raito smiles "Ofc it does I am quite the angel after all" Kusho smirks "If your the angel then what am I" Raito smiles "A dark angel" Kusho is quiet for a second before responding "True...ig". Raito chuckles "Still have your darkness and void gimmick though I bet" Kusho nods "Ofc I do...it's how I do things" Raito sighs "Ik but come on at least get some life in there your deck is a pit of misery practically" Kusho shakes his head "It's not that bad" Raito looks at him narrowed eyes "Really then why is it said you terrified your examiner during the tests" Kusho goes quiet again before responding "...Accidental" Raito pokes his cheek "Lies" Kusho sighs "Alr...he pushed my buttons a bit" Raito sighs again "Almost everyone you duel seems to do that based on how all of them are scared of you and your cards...except the people in this academy" Kusho smirks "That's cause I haven't had an official duel yet...I have a few targets in mind though" Raito laughs "Ofc you do but...maybe try not to terrify them yeah...?" Kusho sighs "I will make no promises but...I shall "try" Raito smiles "Good" they continue talking until the class bell is rung and they part ways. Kusho feels something in him stir as though he feels like he's missing something "Hm...could the bond with Raito and I's cards...both extremes of darkness and light that desire to be in balance with the other..." he brushes it off and continues walking to class.
(Later, Duel Academy, Obelisk Blue Dorm Room) Kusho quietly walks back into his room when he feels a cold breeze fill the room and his eyebrows raise slightly as he looks around and sees his deck glowing slightly and a midnight blue mist seeping out of it. He slowly walks over and opens it only for a large hand to form out of the now released mist and it wraps around him and when it releases him he is standing in what seems to be an undisturbed lake but in the colours the void he knows all too well. He feels an overwhelming presence all around him pushing an unfamiliar feeling of dread and nervousness onto him, "Zarnc?, Arnak?, Arvil?, Covor?...hello?" He gets no response except for the same sound of the lake's soft hum as it remains undisturbed even as he standing upon it. He goes to walk forward but his body won't move due to the overwhelming presence still around him but he sees something slowly rise out of the lake and grab his hand and Kusho feels something be placed in it before he is suddenly back in his room and slowly looks at it his hand revealing a card...his eyes widen and his body stiffens as he slowly lifts it closer to see if what he's seeing is real.

Kusho stares at it in amazement "They...gifted me this...so my path is clear?...no I have yet to be offered the choice" he quietly puts the card into his deck and sits at his desk and breathes deeply as he processes what just occurred.

Personality: Raito is a rather happy, joyful and loving person seen as a literal beacon of light to those around her and can motivate even the lowest esteemed of people with her mere presence however internally struggles with keeping herself motivated due to intense doubts but does her best to push them aside so she may continue to help others in anyway she can.
