“Let go!” I yelled between my loud guffaws as I kicked the air. Richard stood there and laughed louder as he looked at my attempt to escape from William. “Please!” I begged as I tried to pull his fingers away from me.
“Hey!” A familiar deep voice said, sounding angry. William slowly stopped, placing me back on the ground and we all stopped laughing as we turned to face, a furious looking Mr. Jovi.
“Mr. Jovi.” Richard gave one stern nod at him, eyeing him closely. Mr. Jovi gave a nod back but kept his stern eyes on William.
“Elektra, is this young man annoying you?” He asked.
“No, we were just messing around.” I answered, fixing my shirt
“Are you sure?” He asked again, looking into my eyes.
“She said we were messing around.” Richard said, an edge to his voice as he glared at Mr. Jovi. Mr. Jovi looked at him in shock before his expression turned to anger.
“Do-”His raised voice was interrupted by William’s growl.
“Don’t you yell at my brother like that.” William’s voice was so menacing that me and Mr. Jovi flinched away from him. The bell rang at that moment making me sigh in relief as I turned to face William.
“Um… Elektra? I’m going to see you in class.” Mr. Jovi said before he paced to the building.
My eyes slightly widened as I turned to see William’s face. This time, my heart didn’t fill with warmth but with a feeling like when someone jumps into freezing cold water. His face was so white that anyone could think that he was dead. But that wasn’t what frightened me. His eyes….His eyes has turned a forest dark green colour, almost black. He was also leaning forward, his body all stiff , looking like he would pounce on a predator. I felt my heart pound in my chest as I stared at him.
“William…”Richard nudged him, staring at me intently. William’s head snapped towards me and I stepped back, surprised by how fast his head turned. An expression passed through him before he went back to his normal stance. He looked down, frowning. “Elektra? Why don’t we go inside. We’re going to be late for Math.” Richard said cautiously as he stepped closer. I kept my eyes on William but still nodded.
“I’ll see you after school.” William mumbled and with that, he jumped on his bike, not bothering to put a helmet and rode away at a really fast speed.
“Come on.” Richard said as he began walking.
The rest of the day passed in a blur. In every single moment, second…I was thinking about William and what happened in the parking lot today morning. Richard seemed to know what I was thinking about and tried to make small talk but I answered him with one word only so he gave up by break time. I was worried by how he left. I mean he was driving really fast …and I couldn’t help but think that a car bumped into him….but I tried my best to push away that thought? But what if he was hurt?! A voice howled in my head as I walked outside the building with Richard by my side.
“Hey, slow down. What’s the hurry?” Richard, frowned, looking down at me. I ignored him, biting my lip as I searched the parking lot. Where is he? I frowned to myself, feeling my heart quicken. I saw Richard’s limo but William promised me that he would take me back home himself. What if he is hurt?! Oh god!
“Hey.” The familiar voice appeared from behind me. I gasped as I turned around to face the warm emerald eyes.
“Oh my god!” I gasped as I wrapped my arms around him.
“Woah!” I heard Richard’s surprised voice and William’s stiff stand. But I didn’t care. He was okay. I tightened my arms around his neck as I sighed in relief. I suddenly felt a pair of strong arms wrap around my waist.
