It looked like everything was happening in slow motion. Mike looked furious and suddenly, his fist was in the air, moving toward William. A small smile appeared on William's face and it scared me a little. He looked like he was going to fight with his prey. Before his fist could touch his face, William grabbed his hand and raised an eyebrow at him.

Oh thank god...I thought to myself as I quickly pushed my self between them and placed a hand on both their chest.

"Mike, don't." I hissed in frustration. Mike turned to me with pursed lips before he snatched his hand back. "Wait outside." I ordered.

"What?" He asked disbelievingly.

"I said, wait outside now." I pointed towards the door, anger still pulsing through me. Mike shook his head before he stomped out of the door. I sighed in relief

before I turned to face William and his group.

"I don't know how to explain this but I'm sorry." I grimaced biting my lips.

"That jerk is the one who is supposed to be apologizing." Jackson mumbled.

"Ya, well he's not the type to be the one apologizing." I mumbled as I looked down, tugging my hair behind me ear. "Anyway, I have to go to speak to him." I said as I began walking. A hand grabbed my arm softly, as if afraid that I would break any moment.

"Are you sure?" William asked from behind me. I slowly turned and nodded, smiling. William let go of my arm and I headed outside.

Mike was glaring at the ground as he paced around his red, broken truck. When he saw me walking towards him, he stopped and stared at me quietly.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, curiously.

"Mom got an invitation from dad saying that he wants us to come because he has big news. Mom, Dad, Katy and Paulo are arriving tomorrow." Mike answered.

"Paulo is still alive?" I asked in daze.

"Ya, that dog is one hell of a dog." Mike chuckled quietly. "So what's this big news?" He asked curiously, looking up at me.

"I don't know." I shrugged being curious myself. The air between us tensed as the silence took over.

"So who are the guys?" My head snapped up when he broke through the silence.

"They are...my friends." I fibbed. Mike snorted and shook his head.

"Since when do you have friends?" He chuckled and I felt a pang in the pit of my stomach. I never imagined him saying that to me...I mean I know that he used to be mean when we were young but...this is just...

"Elektra...I...I didn't mean it that way." He said as he reached out. I took a step back and glared at him.

"You know what? I thought that you were mean before. That you were rude, annoying and vulgar. But I guess I was wrong. You are much worse." I mumbled, my voice going higher every time. "And don't you speak to me again." I pointed a finger at him before I turned around. A rough hand grabbed my wrist. "Mike, let me go!" I growled as I tried to tug my hand away from him but his grip just tightened around it.

"So you prefer to hang out with those jerks and not me?" His voice turned menacing. But I fought the urge to flinch away.

"Yes! And they are not jerks. You are." I said before I threw my fist towards his nose. He let go of my wrist and howled in pain as he held onto his nose. I grabbed my fist and held it to my chest, trying to lower the pain in my fist.

"You broke my nose!" He roared.

"I'm glad. And don't ever touch me again because there will be more damage happening next time." I said before I walked back into the restaurant. I can't believe that he turned into...well...a jock! I frowned to myself as I walked back to the table.
