Isla POV
In the space of a view days Joe had managed to arrange the small, intimate wedding we both wanted. He had opted to stay at his parents last night so that I could sleep comfortably in our bed and Maddie wouldn't be unsettled.
The plan was for me, my mom and Maddie to meet Joe and everyone else at the venue but I was the only one who didn't know where we were getting married which to my mind meant only one thing.....Joe was up to something.
"Just look at you, I can't believe my baby is getting married" my mom gushes with tears in her eyes "I always hoped it would be Joe"
"I can't quite believe it either" I say smoothing my dress over my bump "there was a point when I honestly thought I would never see him again, but at the same time I always knew there was something missing in my life"
"You know what I think? I think Joe is the other half of you, the ying to your yang" she smiles "like two puzzle pieces with a unique shape that will only fit with each other and no one else, you were made for each other"
"Mom don't make me cry" I say grabbing a tissue and dabbing my eyes, before taking a moment to look at my little girl in her pretty pink dress "right let's not keep daddy waiting" I smile as my mom picks her up.
We head out of the house and get into the waiting car, I watch the scenery as we drive along trying to work out where we are going. Then I see a very familiar building in front of us and I'm nothing if not confused
"Mom why are we at the hospital?" I ask " has something happened to Joe?"
"No Joe is fine" she smiles "the hospital has a room for weddings, you wanted your dad to be a part of the wedding and Joe made it happen"
"God I love that man, he is nothing short of amazing" I smile
"He certainly is, he'd do just about anything for you" she says "you're very lucky"
Getting out of the car I follow my mom whi has Maddie in her arms through to the event room of the hospital. We stop at the doors and I link my arm with hers. The doors open, the music starts and we enter the room, I see Joe waiting for me with that beautiful smile on his face and beside him my dad who has been brought down in his bed.
When we reach Joe I take his hand and gives Maddie a quick kiss on the cheek before my mom goes to sit down.
"You look beautiful butterfly" he smiles
"You look gorgeous" I smile "and thank you for making this happen, you've no idea how much it means to me"
"Anyhing for my butterfly" he says
The chaplain begins the service as Joe and I stand and look at each other. Once in a while I glance over at my dad who gives me a smile and reassuring nod.
"Ok Leati do you want to start?" The chaplain asks
"Isla from the first moment I met you I knew you were going to be important to me. I felt this instant connection that I could never explain. We were like two sides of the same coin, you can't have one without the other, we were in seperable and it was only years later that I realised that the connection I felt was love. When I saw you again for the first time I knew straight away nothing had changed and we picked up like we'd never been apart. I've said it before but you are the oxygen in my lungs, the blood in my veins, the beat of my heart, I can't exist without you. I love you, Maddie, Willow and Kai with all my heart. I promise you that I am never leaving you again, my place is by your side and thats where I'm going to stay for the rest of our lives"
"Isla over to you" the chaplain smiles
"Joe the one thing I can count on with you is that you will always be there when I need you. You took care of me and made me feel safe and loved during what was a time of uncertainty and fear for me. You are my superstar, my hero and the love of my life. When you came back you once again made me feel safe and loved even though we had been apart for so long. I could never put into words how much I love you but I will spend the rest of our lives showing you. You love Maddie as your own, and for that I am truly grateful. Maddie, the twins and I all love you more than you can ever know, your my other half, the only one that fits me and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us"
"Alright Leati do you take Isla to be your lawful wedded wife?" He asks
"Yes sir I do" Joe smiles proudly
"And Isla do you take Leati to be your lawful wedded husband?"
"I absolutely do" I smile
"Then with the power vested in me it's my honor to pronounce you husband and wife, Leati you mag now kiss your bride" he smiles
Joe closes the gap between us and presses his lips to mine in a gentle, loving kiss as our family clap and cheer. I was finally Mrs Anoa'i and I couldn't be any happier then I am in this moment.
"I object to this wedding!" A voice calls out making Joe and I break a part
"Kacey?" He gasps "what are you doing here?"
"In case you've forgotten Joe I'm your fiancée" she snaps "for months now I've been sat at home with our son thinking you were on the road working, I haven't heard from you at all and then I find put your marrying.........well I might have known it was you" she snarls
"Kacey we were over a long time ago you know that" Joe says "you also know that Liam isn't my son, so why are you doing this?"
"You said we were over but I never agreed" she says "so I'm here to get what's mine.......you"
