Chapter 29

"Are you ready?" Sehun asks me as he pulls the suit on.

"Are you sure I should do this? What if the world isn't ready for this kind of technology?" I ask as I pace back and forth.

"Everything will be fine, you've been preparing for this for weeks, let's go show the world." He smiles as he kisses my cheek.

"Thank you for doing this." I say as I hand him the board.

"You taught me how to ride it, and I taught you how to ride something else but-"

"Sehun!" I say as I slap his arm and laugh. "It's no time for dirty jokes!" I say as my cheeks heat up.

"I'm just trying to lighten the mood, babe." He chuckles as he wraps his arms around me.

"Be careful, just do what you practiced and then come back in here to change unless I call you over." I say as I hand him the black helmet.

"I love you, don't be nervous, alright?" He says before turning and leaving.

"I can do this." I say to myself as I fix my hair and take a few deep breaths.

"I can do this." I repeat before going out in front of the huge crowd of random people and new reporters.

My name is being shouted over and over but I can't seem to focus on one person while my heart races.

"Okay, okay everyone settle down." Ren says as he comes out next to me with a microphone with him.

"Luhan, do you want to take any questions?" He says as he hands me the microphone.

"Um, sure." I say before he chooses one of the many reporters in the crowd.

"Lu Han, what have you brought all of us out here to see today?" One of the women ask.

Well it's not like I'm not going to freaking show you or anything.

"Well, when I was little I dreamed about making some huge scientific discovery. After years of dreaming I finally started getting to work on it when I was fourteen, so ten years ago. It's a little hard to explain but I've created a way to defy gravity-" I say before the crowd go wild, yelling questions at me all at once.

Ren quiets them down again before I choose one of the men who was waving his hand back and forth aggressively.

"How did you do that? It's impossible."

"Well, I actually wasn't trying to create what I did. I have a few things to show you actually.

I started with designing a cube and after nine and a half years I finally started getting the things to build it." I say as I pull the small cube out of my jacket pocket.

"When this is turned on it creates a space like bubble around it making everything in it defy gravity while it is stuck to the ground. Um, would you like to see?" I ask making them yell again.

"I'll take five volunteers so none of you think I'm tricking you." I smirk softly.

"Okay, so, Ren, pick away." I chuckle as I hand him the mic and let him while I continue explaining.

"All my controls for it are programmed into this watch I made. So, just the on and off switch basically." I say as five people come up.

"Try to keep your feet pointed to the ground, it's okay if you don't." I say as a soft pad is brought for them to stand on.

"Tell me your names and ages." I say before going down the line so each can say it.

Wow, all teens..

"So, are you ready?" I ask as I set the cube on the pad in front of them while they smile and nod. P

Seconds later they're all lifted up into the air while people begin screaming and wowing while all of the kids scream and spin around.

"As you can see, the cube it being pulled to the ground in the mat, that's because it's taking all of their weight, multiplying it by five, then push back up so none of them have any mass." I say before we get a pole to turn them all back so when it turns off they can all land on their feet.

"How much did it cost to make one of those?" Is first question
I get is.

"About 20,000 dollars." I say before answering more questions.

"What I've been working on for the longest time is something quite similar, but I've changed it. So the cube is defying gravity like the earth and everything around it is a big south magnet and it is another south magnet. So they push each other away." I explain as Sehun comes flying in over everyone and back to the stage as the crowd goes crazy yet again.

"The board has two cubes in the bottom that makes it hover. The helmet and suit keep the air off you so when you're going roughly around 250miles per hour your body won't be destroyed. Also, in the helmet there's a cloaking device that will change your view of him." I say as he comes back over to me and turns it on and disappears from our eyes.

"When will you be selling these to the world?" My last question is.

"Um, not for a while, there are to many things I need to fix. As you saw, it is slightly self sintered, and if someone got hurt riding it and fell the board might sweep under their legs the wrong way and break them while your feet stay stuck to it. I just need more time to make corrections on it before selling it-"

"But your friend seems to be fine riding it? It looks simple, like riding a skateboard."

"This is a much more advanced skateboard, I wouldn't give it to children to use, and he's had a lot of practice to be good at it. So before you get one you'll have to take lessons to make it the safest way." I say before they begin getting slightly angry about me not selling it any times soon.

"Okay, thank you all for coming." Ren begins, "go." He whispers to me and I nod before leaving off behind the stage.

"Luhan! That was amazing!" Xiumin yells at me as all of them run over to me to congratulate me.

"Thanks, I was really nervous, I'm shaking a little." I chuckle as I hold my hand up to show them.

"It didn't seem like they liked when you said you wouldn't be selling them for a while." Ren says as he comes down and hugs me.

"To bad, it's for their own good." I tell him.

They continue talking to me before Sehun comes and pulls me into a tight hug.

"You were great." I chuckle as he spins me around.

"So were you. Are you ready to go home?" He asks as a smile grows on my face as I think about what he's wanting to do.

"Yeah, let's go." I smile.

"Where gonna go, I'll call you guys later." I say before he drags me away and to our car.

"Let me drive, you don't know where we're going yet." He says and I nod before giving him the keys.

"It better be amazing, and close to school because you need to get your degree." I say making him groan as we get in.

"Oh shut up about that." He says as he grabs my hand and holds it while he drives to our new home.
