Chapter 7

I end up being force to take him to lunch and pay fifty dollars for the meal. He decided to get thirty dollars worth of food then happily told me he forgot to bring his wallet.

"Will you hurry up?!" I groan, wanting to get out of here and drop his ass off so I can go work.

"Patience, cupcake. I don't do good under pressure." He smirks as he finished the rest of his soda while I shove my wallet back into my pocket and I glare at him.

He sets it down before smiling at me and stands up.

I get up and hurry out with him lazily walking behind me.

"You still haven't told me shit about anything." He says as we get to my car.

"What do you want to hear then?" I say as I unlock the doors and climb in.

"Everything."

"Everything? Wow, well. I didn't graduate high school when I was seventeen."

"That's why you're a third year-"

"No, I graduated when I was fourteen, I have two masters degrees and a bachelors and I made a cube that can hover off the ground. I made a steam powered engine with the help of one of my friends, I'm too smart for the classes here, I have two younger siblings and parents I don't know. I've never had sex. Um, oh, I have a lab here and that's why I'm here and I used to hack accounts to help the FBI before I had my accident with my eyes. I believe that's everything there's to know." I say as I push my key into the ignition and turn the car on.

"Y-you've never had sex?" He says as I back out of the parking spot and laugh.

"Out of everything I said that's the one thing you actually heard." I cackle as I glance over at him.

"No, I haven't, it never intrigued me enough to go out and find someone to have it with. I mean, it didn't not intrigue me because of course it did but I never had time because I was busy with science."

"You're twenty four!" He says making me groan as I speed down the road.

"We're here, as fun as this was it's time to get out of my car." I say as I unbuckle his belt and reach across him to open his door to kick him out.

As soon as I leave campus my phone rings and I hook it up to the Bluetooth in my car.

"Hello?" I say.

"Luhan! Baby! We haven't talked all week!" Baekhyun chirps making me chuckle.

"Sorry, babe, I've been really busy lately. Hows our unicorn?" I ask making him laugh.

"He's been better, the doctor said the exact same thing she said when it happened to you and he's on bed rest for a few weeks."

"Aw, you're an idiot." I mumble.

"So! How's your project going?" He says to change the subject.

"Fine, I was testing it earlier today and my roommate walked in and is blackmailing me and now knows everything about me."

"Wait, is done?! You finished it!? You guys! Luhan finished his project! Luhan! Chen's getting tickets right now-"

"Baek, it's not finished-"

"He said the soonest we can get down there when Lay is off bedrest is in four weeks! I'm so excited!" He squeals making me turn the volume down.

"Baek, I'm not finished-"

"I'm so excited! Lulu, we will be there in a few weeks!" He says, completely ignoring me before the line goes dead.

"Great." I mumble as I drive up to the tall white building in front of me.

I park my car before getting out and go to the entrance. I pull my key card out and slide it before the doors open.

Not less than five minutes later there is a big circle of people around me hugging me and asking me if I finished the project. I disappoint them when I tell them no before Ren comes and wraps his arm around my shoulders and pulls me away.

"You have to show me what you've been working on." He says as we get into the elevator.

"Ren~" I whine.

"Luhan, you had me send you crap for it while you were in America so you owe me." He says as we go up to my level. "Please, I'll be like your test dummy if you want! I really want to see it!" He whines making me chuckle.

"I think I'll probably use a mouse before you for precautionary reasons." I chuckle. "If I tell you, you can't tell anyone." I say.

I've been wanting to show someone, that isn't an annoying child, all day.

When we get inside my large lab and I head straight to my desk to set my things down.

"Here." I say as I grab the cube and place it in his hands.

"What is it?" He asks as I turn my computer on and hook it up to my lab.

"So, when you have two magnets that are the same pole and you try to put them together they do what?" I ask as I fix my glasses.

"They repel each other."

"Yeah, so, let's say the ground, the walls, the tables, us, everything in here is one big pole. Then, this would be the same one but isn't connect to it. So when you turn it on.." I say as I turn it on and it lifts up to hover above his hand making him gasp.

"Luhan! Is there a little fan or something in it?" He says as he lift it up to see the bottom.

"Nope."

"This is amazing." He says as he stares at it.

I let him examine it while I turn the cameras on my testing room in front of me on.

"You wrote how you created this down, yes?" He says as he looks up at me.

"Of course I did." I chuckle.

"Come on." I say as I turn it off and take it with me into my large experimenting room that I love so much.

I got the biggest lab in the whole facility, well, you would expect since I designed it.

We step onto the squishy white flooring as I grab two pairs of goggles off the small counter that was in here and hand one to him.

"Put these on." I say as he nods as he does.

"Let's see what this baby can do." I say as I turn it on and start the tests.
