The next few hours fly by, talking about their upcoming show, and soon enough its lunchtime. "Bloody hell, I'm hungry. You guys wanna order takeout?" James asks like the god of a man he is and they all nod in agreement. "Perfect, Pete and I will call in and go pick it up."
This was a setup. They boys just wanted Sirius and Remus to be alone together so they could talk about their past and makeup like two long lost lovers or some shit. Well that wasnt going to happen. Remus made it very clear that he no longer wanted to be with Sirius when he broke up with him, and Sirius was going to respect his decision like a decent bloke. That didn't mean it was easy though. The urge to grab Remus and kiss the daylights out of him was a contant thrum in Sirius' veins. It was hard to look at Remus in a friendly way after realizing that he was still very much in love with the man, but Sirius had decided that he would try. The things he does for this band.
He shakes his head, effectively erasing all thoughts of Remus from his mind. That is, of course, until Sirius looks at him and they come rushing back like a tidal wave. "So, what did you want to talk about earlier?" Sirius asks hoping to start up an easy conversation. Cleary he had chosen the wrong topic.
"The song that you wrote. It was about how we'd gotten into our first fight wasn't it." Fuck he should've just asked about the bloody weather.
"Um, yeah, it was." He pauses. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't be singing songs about us anymore.
"No, no no no. That's not a problem at all." Remus says immediately. "I was just curious about something. When did you write it?"
For a moment Sirius contemplates lying and saying he wrote it while they were still dating, but then he decides he shouldn't lie to his bandmate. "A couple weeks ago," he mutters, at a barely audible volume.
"I'm sorry what?"
"A couple weeks ago." after a few seconds of awkward silence Sirius tries to help ease the situation. "But at least it not like James is going to use it in out set on monday."
