This bus was literally the worst place on earth. There was gum stuck everywhere, it smelt like the boys locker room, it was just terrible. But the only other thing on my mind right now besides this terrible bus and the fact that I'm supposed to be dead was Luke.

He was my best "guy" friend and little did he know I was in love with him. Luke and I had been best friends since 2nd grade and ive had a crush on him ever since. But here's the thing Luke is pretty much the guy every girl dreams of. His messy blonde hair, piercing blue eyes, he's one of the nicest and sweetest guys on the planet and he's in a band; what more could a girl ask for. My god he was just so....

My thoughts were once again interrupted.

"So Lily are you gonna come watch us after practice after school?" Micheal asked once again.

"Yeah sure I'll be there." I replied. Michael gave Luke this weird smirk, which really confused me.

"Hey Lily did you here? There's going to be a Checkpoint next week." Calum said. No. No there can't be a Checkpoint next week. They'll kill me when they find out. For those of you who don't know a Checkpoint is when the officials from the EDA (Expiration Date Association) come to your town and check everyone's date to make sure the aren't "expired". When Luke heard Calum his face turned white like he was going to vomit. We haven't had a Checkpoint in a couple of months and I was really hoping we wouldn't have another one any time soon.

We arrived at school a couple of minutes later and when I stepped out of the bus my best "girl" friend was waiting there for me. Her names Bella and she is litteraly my life. Bella is a little introverted but once you get to know her you find out she's fucking crazy. And that's exactly what I love about her.

"Lily Pad!" Bella screamed so pretty much the entire world could hear her.

"Bella Boo!" I screamed back at her. God Im pretty sure everyone thinks we are crazy.

"So what are you up to after school?" She asked me.

"Nothing going to Lukes house to watch the band. Wanna come?" I replied.

"I can't have volleyball practiced, sorry." She said. I gave her a sad face.

"Bye Lily." Luke said as he walked in a different direction than us.

"So have you talked to him yet?" Bella asked giving me a nudge.

"No" I replied under my breath.

"Why not?" She asked.

"Because I'm afraid of rejection okay." I replied with complete honesty."I'll do it tomorrow." I said.

"Yeah sure you will.." She said sarcastically. She new I was lying.
