You and Loki are being forced to go to a cabin for the weekend for "team building". The two of you had been at each other's throats since you joined the team roughly six months ago, most recently your bickering had gotten a few of your teammates hurt, they were minor injuries but still enough for stark to finally snap and force the two of you to figure out what was going on and fix it.

Everyone was originally surprised when you had started complaining about Loki. Aside from New York no one had ever had a notably bad experience with him, he was a little standoffish and he could be rude but he was still a prince and acted as such. He had even been known for making tea for anyone he'd have to share a space with for any amount of time, anyone but you that is.

Your first day on the team when the two of you were introduced, Loki decided it was best to stay away from you assuming you were an intern of sorts. However, once Stark finished his sentence, of which Loki had cut off to offer him and only him some tea, Loki had been shocked to hear that you would be joining the team. Loki had already decided that you looked weak to him and he really didn't want to have to take care of you on missions.

The car ride to the cabin was quiet, you had called shotgun to not have to awkwardly sit in the back. Instead you had stuck Loki with that burden. Stark had decided to drive the two of you out there so he could take the car back with him to avoid you being able to escape each other, he really had thought of everything.

You got out of the car with your bag and walked up the steps of the cabin, walking in you see the living room with woody and bronze colors and a nice wall of bookshelves to your left. Loki walks in behind you grumbling about how unnecessary this is and how it's never going to work. You roll your eyes at him "would it kill you to stop complaining Loki" "no but it might kill you".

Loki closed and locked the door behind him in efforts to keep the snow and wind out, after Loki sat his bags on the ground by the door he got himself some tea and sat on the couch. he nodded for you to come over to talk so you did, sitting in the chair across from his you folded your arms and bowed your head as if to say "I'm listening" Loki looked up from his tea thoughtfully "listen, okay? I'd like us to both walk out of this alive and the only way i see that happening is if we're both civil, we only have to stay here for 72 hours and id hope that after living at the compound together for the past six months that you can put this aside even if its just long enough to get through this".

you thought over what he said deciding it was reasonable. "i will if you do Loki, you're the one that started this to begin with, besides if it doesn't work this time stark is just going to find farther places to send us for longer, he really wants us to get along" Loki sighed knowing you were right "i know he does..." you both paused for a moment. getting up you head over to the bookcases picking up one of your favorites deciding to kill some time.

you and Loki then spent several hours reading in silence apart from whatever show Loki had put on for background noise and the crackle of the fire place, the lights flickered and then went out.

Loki sighed clearly frustrated. he stood up and threw more wood on the fire. "I guess we're sleeping out here tonight then" Loki stood, staring at the fire. you closed your book, setting it on the coffee table you'd had your feet on moments ago. "I don't think we have a choice, I doubt the rooms would stay warm enough for us to sleep without dying of hypothermia" you respond almost grimly.

Loki smiles to himself, still facing the fire. he's admired you for a while now, yes he deems you weak but he finds it endearing. he thinks its cute that you struggle to open jars or reach the top shelf, he loves how small you are.
