"We will begin conducting physical examinations shortly. All students, please proceed to the clinic in your respectful school building."
You, Kyoya, and Tamaki walk together, weaving through the crowds of pale yellow dresses and blue jackets towards a large ballroom at the end of the hall.
"Are we sure that the girls won't know it's me?" Tamaki asks, stuffing his hands into his pockets. His shoulders squirmed, and both you and the ravenet saw the concerns swirling in his violet irises.
And you couldn't have that, now could you?
"Now, don't go doubting your own plan, Tamaki. Have some faith." Kyoya assures, his black book firmly grasped in his hands.
Still not completely convinced, the blonde met your gaze.
"You got this Tamaki, it'll be seamless." You say, following it with an awkward thumbs up.
And sure enough, Tamaki's suspicions were vanquished by the overwhelming trust for his friends, and he walked ahead, a proud look in his eyes. You breathe a sigh of relief and shake your head as you watch your friend.
"I almost feel bad for him." You say to the megane, laughing as the blonde walks with a new confident stride.
Kyoya rolls his eyes, a smirk gracing his lips. "Oh, please. Tamaki has had his head in the clouds all week. He needs to be brought down a peg or two."
"You're just mad because he called you 'supporting cast'." You tease, taking the time to wave at some of your guests as they pass by.
"As were you." He points out, gray eyes flicking to you for a moment.
Shrugging, you brush it off. "I mean, if anyone is a supporting cast, it's us."
"How so?"
You observe Tamaki as he practices his lines under his breath. "Don't you think it's all kind of perfect? A vase breaks, and a month later, Tamaki is reaching epic lengths to keep this girl in our little club."
A sentimental simper lifts the corners of your mouth as you look at your blonde friend. "Tamaki has always done the most for the people he cares about, but this time it feels different."
"Because he loves her?" Kyoya questions, raising an eyebrow.
You nod, meeting his gaze. "Haruhi might think he's pompous now, but you and I both know that it's only a matter of time before she realizes how lovable Tamaki really is." You throw a knowing look his way, and he delves his attention back into his notes.
"And then from there, the classic sequence of fluffy moments, intertwined with jealousy and protectiveness, lead up to a dramatic event that just might tear their relationship apart."
Kyoya nearly gags at the dreamy look that clouds over your expression. "It will be clear then, how important they are to each other. A grand romantic gesture, probably from Tamaki, will seal it, and they'll live happily ever after."
You end your fantasy and come back to earth, taken aback Kyoya giving you the most deadpan expression you've ever seen.
"What?" You ask, a blush threatening to show.
"Who knew you were such a hopeless romantic?" He rolls his eyes. That earns him another shove.
"Shut up, it's nice." A teasing tone laces in your voice. Ootori huffs a breath, laughing in his own way.
"As I was saying," You continue with your theory as you reach the arch of the grand doorway. When you walk into the physical exam room, Tamaki makes a turn behind one of the curtains. "Those two are like the perfect formula for a romantic comedy."
