Chapter 4 - Sweet Dy

It's April 14th yes, the declared hearts day by almost all people. It's quite a normal day for me though.

The school has its so called tradition on this day by which couples or even not yet couples would be given the chance to date along campus the entire day. No disturbance.

Our school is as supportive as that huh? Well good for those who have partners but as for me and Kim we date and stay near the tree of wisdom located in the middle of the school, it's a field were students relax. We do this since the year we came here, during Valentines.

"When would it be our time dyyyy, when?" She pleadingly asked

"You're overacting K, we've been doing this for 4 years now and if there will be a guy then there will be. Ladies like us will gorgeously wait for the man." I said calmly

"But I want to experience that Dy" referring to the couple in front of us cuddling like a bee

I rolled my eyes to that.

"Hey Dy I'm out of chips, I'll go get some more, wanna come with me?" K asked

"No, I'll stay right here. Watch our seats" then we smiled to each other. She's such a pig at times 😂

Then the music "Say you love me by Jessie Ware" was played by the schools music organization

Great! I'm all alone with this mellow music, just great. What took Kim so long! Maybe she brought all the chips in the schools canteen.

The principal announced that students may dance on the field with their partners. Oh wow, what a view to behold! Note the sarcasm.

"Hey Dy, all alone?" A familiar voice was heard.

Then I looked up to a very nice sight of Marky Smith smiling as soft as a cotton candy, wow cotton candy huh? I'm quite craving now haha

"Kim's here, she just hum bought something" I answered right away

"Mind if I seat?"

"Oh sure, please do"

"Your friend Kim was so hungry huh?" He said humorously

We laughed.

"Thanks for coming by tho, now I don't look like as this couples guardian watching over them all alone"

He giggled in my remark

My phone beeped, when looking at it found that it was Kim's

"I'm so sorry Dy, I had to go home my heels broke"

"Wow because of the chips maybe your heels gave up" I replied

"Hey mark, well what a new K's not coming back, she broke her heels"

I wasn't expecting his very hardcore laugh. And then I found myself laughing with him

We stop laughing when the principal announced "students get your partner for the very last time for the romantic last dance for this day"

Then the music "Sweet Jane by Cowboy Junkies" was played. Classical huh.

Marky stood up, handed his hand towards me, I was just staring at it like I don't know what's that. Is it a hand or a feet, genius.

Then Marky broke the ice by saying "can we?" Softly smiled as always.

How can I say no at that? "We can" I smiled

We danced. Looked at each other's eyes. He placed my hands to his neck, then placed his hands softly at my waist. Oh sprinkles this would be my first time dancing with a guy and not just a guy with Marky Smith.

I felt girls whispering gossips looking towards us. And by that my composure was decreasing. I wanted to let go but I was caught by his words when he said

"Don't mind them, we don't want this moment ruined by jealous meanies don't we?" I just smiled and nodded in response.

The song lasted around 6 pm and I didn't brought my car cause Kim brought hers. Ugh I had to ride the bus now, all thanks K.

"Did you brought you car?" Marky asked like as if he was reading my thoughts.

"I didn't, I rode with K but since she broke her heels because of the chips, tsk taking the bus" I smiled

"Wait here, I'll go get the car" he said leaving towards the parking lot

He opened the front seat as always

"Thanks mark" I smiled. He just smiled in return.

"It's kindve silent isn't it? Mind if I turn the radio on?" He asked

"Oh no, sure"

Then the song "Sweet Jane by Cowboy Junkies" played again. We both looked at each other, I giggled and him in the other hand smiled.

"I guess this would be my favorite song from now on" he told while looking on the road

"Because you heard it twice today?" I laughed

"Yah, with you" he looked at me.

Oh how can this boy caught me off guard, always.

"What's the title of the song again?" I asked

"Sweet Dy" he smirked glancing at me

"Hey you better place your eyes on the road mister. I love life" I playfully told

"But seriously tho, the title?"

"It's sweet Jane, Dy" he smiled.

The ride was a very nice one. I didn't even knew that my house was here not until we stopped and he got out to open the car door. He gestured his hand like as if his my butler.

"Oh mr." I laughed

"Had a good day sweet dy?" He said with a British accent

"Haha i did all thanks to you mr smith"

He smiled "honored to be the reason why"

Oh the way he said that it was just so, so handsome.

"You wanna come in?" I asked

"I'm sorry maybe next time Dy, had to get going." He smiled

"Well then, I can't do anything. Have a safe ride home" I smiled

Then he bid his goodbye, the he's at his cars door when he looked back and ran towards me.

I wasn't expecting this. Oh my sprinkles. He kissed my cheek. I was red as an apple now. Good thing he ran towards his car that moment, I touched my cheek and was feeling the redness of it. I was confused as to why he did that? Should I feel angry? But no, I can't feel angry cause somehow I felt happy that he did that.

Then my phone beeped

"happy valentines bff,
Sorry for today. Luvyu 😘

-your one and only valentine x"

Kim. Oh Kim! Kim how can I tell Kim this? He had a huge crush at Marky oh gad. How can I tell her that I kindve had another valentine besides her, which is Marky.

Ugh then I was reminded of how nice my day went with Marky that put a huge smile on my face. Today was not like any other day, thanks mr. Smith. Then I went to my sleep.
