Chapter 17

Larmina was giving Flora a tour of the castle after talking with her grandfather. He said and their guardians that Flora was a friend of theirs from birth and that they didn't know what happened to her after the war.

Turns out Flora was in the same boat like them. She was sent to Earth with Daniel and Vince, her parents put a spell on her for safety and gave her to close relatives.

She's just learning about herself like them.

"You just found out too?" Flora asked shocked.

"Yes, apparently I will be Queen of Lions in a month on my birthday. I didn't know about it neither did Daniel and Vince a couple of days ago. We're still getting use to our new bodies." Larmina said.

"Me too. I never knew about myself until couple day ago too."

Larmina and Flora sighs.

"At least we know now." Larmina said messing with her necklace.

The force was in the castle control room having a serious discussion.

"If Lotor and Mahhox knows Daniel, Vince, Larmina, and Flora are the lions and comes from the Planet of Lions, they won't stop still they get them." Keith said.

"And I just got done analyzing this dart Vince gave me. It's meant for to bring them down." Pidge said holding the half empty dart the drools short Flora with, "It's makes them unable to move until someone takes them out."

"Then we need to be on guard. These four are our responsibility now." Allura said.

"You're right but how." Hunk said, "They are lions and whatever Mahhox got for them we might not be able to handle it."

"Hunk, we are the voltron force we can handle anything." Lance said then sighs, "It's just more of a challenge."

Larmina walks into catacombs inside the room where King Alfur's tomb is.

"King Alfur, grandfather." Larmina said.

King Alfur's spirit appears.

"Come Larmina, what's wrong?" King Alfur asked.

Larmina steps closer to her grandfather.

"I don't know for sure grandfather." Larmina said looking down, "I don't know where I belong anymore. The drools knows that were lions and they won't stop till they get us and I'm worried that what happened for me to come on Arus will happen again."

"It won't Larmina. Voltron is stronger than before. You must have faith if it did you, Daniel, Vince, and Flora will stop it. You four have a power beyond voltron you just have to find it in yourself, Vince has found his now you three need to find yours."

"How?"

"Talk with your parents. They can guide you better than I can."

"But we can't talk to them."

"You already talked to your mother."

Larmina gasped and looks at him with tears.

"That was her?"

"Yes Larmina. She never left your side. The others parents hasn't either."

King Alfur's spirit started to fade.

"Grandfather!"

"Talk to them Larmina."

Then king Alfur's spirit disappeared leaving Larmina in the dark room alone.

Larmina grabs her necklace and looks at it.

"I will."

Larmina was walking alone in the field to a place she feels comfortable.

She stops in front of lake Arus where the blue lion's cave is.

Sighing she closed her eyes not letting go of her necklace.

"Mother, I need your help."

Then her necklace started glowing and so did the water. It was glowing so bright that Larmina had to shield her eyes.

"Hello my daughter."

Larmina opens her eyes and sees the woman from her mirror, her mother, Queen Adora.

Larmina had tears, Adora smiles softly and opens her arms and Larmina didn't waste to run into them. Larmina softly cried, she never met her mother, she never had an experience with her, heard about her, but she's here now as a spirit.

Adora holds her daughter and softly runs her fingers through her hair.

"There there my child, everything is alright."

"Why now? Why now I'm in my real form?" Larmina asked.

"I'm am sorry Larmina. I wanted you to have a normal childhood before learning before who you are."

Larmina pulls away and looks at her mother, they were the same height.

"Why?"

"Because becoming the Queen of Lions is a big responsibility. Haggar coming to our planet destroying everything because we wouldn't give you to her, it was the most painful thing I ever done."

"But why? I don't understand anything. I don't understand why haggar wanted me, why I had to not know who I really was and wait till I was 18. I just doesn't make since."

"I'm sure it doesn't. Haggar wanted you because you are one of the most powerful being on the galaxy, so are Daniel, Flora, and Vince."

"What?"

"I'm sure your grandfather told you about how our planet powers voltron. We serve a big part of it. And you are one of the keys. That's why your middle name is Lenna."

"After my ancestor Lenna Lionheart. I thought it was because I look like her."

"It is but there's more to that. You act like her too, Lenna was a stubborn, fierce, combat warrior but she was also kind and put others before herself. Back then it was said a woman wasn't aloud to fight in dangerous battles or touch a weapon but she proved them wrong and that is why our planet has a statue of her as the first female warrior ever."

"Wow, she sounds amazing."

"She is and you are just like her."

"I don't think so. I don't even know who I am."

"Maybe you don't fully see it right now but you will when the time comes. But now to the real reason you called me, it's about your powers isn't it."

"How did you?"

"My child I know what you're thinking, feeling and seeing. It's part of me being your mother and I already knew this day would come when you would ask me."

"Well you're right it is about my powers. I was talking to King Alfur but he said we need to talk to our parents."

"Because he doesn't have powers. He can't teach you like we can because we do."

"But what powers do I have?"

Adora raises her hand and the water from lake arus did to. Larmina was amazed.

"The power of water and ice." She said, "Your necklace, heirloom past down to every future Queen of Lions, The Heart of The Ocean was found by our ancestor who has the power of water and ice. Normally, everyone saw her as the Goddess of Water and Ice and that title is paced down to every future queen."

"So my powers is water and ice?"

"Correct."

"Just like the blue lion."

Adora smiles.

"Now you are learning more and more of where the powers of the Lions come from."

Larmina sighs taking all of this in.
