"We've sedated jack." The nurse explained "he's now in critical care."

"What caused him to have the cardiac arrest?" Karen said threw tears rolling down her cheeks as true had finally stopped crying, mason holding her comforting her, and teddie was sat listening to Declan and tony explaining what had happend calming him down.

"The infection was shocking his body harshly." The doctor explained walking over to you. " we're controlling the infection with doxycycline."

"And how long will Jack have this antibiotic for ?" You stuttered out threw tears.

"Around 1-2 weeks in some cases maybe even 3." The doctor nodded.

"And will he be okay now he's in critical care?" Mason asked the critical care nurse.

"He'll be in the best care possible for his current state." She smiled softly.

"Will this infection cost his future health." You dreaded asking but Karen did.

"No...he should recover after physio therapy, which he'll get when he's introduced back into football." The doctor reassured her.

"Okay." Karen sighed visibly swallowing her tears,

You couldn't explain how you was feeling, you'd experienced so much trauma threw the past twenty four hours. You'd always know a jack as a home for yourself you felt safe around him, in his muscly warm arms and lying in between his legs as he ran his fingers threw your beautiful hair. He was all you'd ever known...it killed you to think he could of passed away from this...if anything it made you realise how much you still love and care for jack.

"Can I suggest something to you Emily." The doctor asked as you nodded cautiously "let jacks parents take the kids home, and please go and get some sleep."

"Jack will want to see you soon, but I'd suggest getting some rest and sleep while jack is...we'll contact you if he wakes up in the mean time." The doctor reassured you.

"Karen, Kevin?" You asked.

"Yes, of course that's fine by us." Karen smiled softly "Do you want us to go back to jacks with the kids?"

"Have you got your keys to his apartment?" Dec asked.

"Yes, he gave us a spare pair." Kevin nodded.

"I'll drop you guys off, I don't want you driving while your upset." You sighed.

"No, no!" Lauren insisted "I'll take them back, you get yourself off home em, you need sleep."

"What about dec, you won't all fit in the car."

"I'll drop em off at hers, and dec can come with me, after ems settled I'll drop dec off at his back to Lauren after." Mason said.

"Aw mase, your a gentlemen." Kevin smiled nodding at mason, you watched Karen's jaw clenched slightly.

"We best get going, when we get back to jacks I'll let Kiera know what's going on." Kevin smiled.

Karen and Kevin both hugged you goodbye and dec gave Lauren a quick peck, Lauren walked out with her arms wrapped around teddie. Karen and Kevin walked out hand in hand with true, the doctor promised to give you updates on jack. Mason carried your bags to his car as Dec got in the back you managed to sleep for around 15 minutes on the journey back to your house.

"Em." You heard mason whispering slightly, moving a strand of your hair out of your face tucking it behind your ear.

"Mm." you groaned tiredly.

"She's out of it mate." You heard dec slightly laugh.

"Check her bag for her house keys dec." Mason mumbled.
