Shoes and I love you

Nicks pov
Charlie had recently been ignoring me. I don't know what I did. Honestly, I wished I could just go and talk to him but unfortunately, he didn't come to school. I have been out for a few months now and everyone knew me and Charlie were dating.

I didn't know how to apologize for whatever I did so I was going to buy him one of the things I know he love more than me...converse shoes. (same char - Em)

As soon as school let out I went to the store and started looking at shoes. Its hard to tell what kind he would like. He has so many already. I kept glancing at the shoes until I finally found some that looked perfect for Charlie.

Charlies pov

I haven't talked to Nick. I felt as if I would be annoying. I missed school today too. I started to overthink until I heard a knock at the door snapping me out of my thoughts.

I went downstairs and opened the door only to be greeted with my beautiful, tall, golden retriever boyfriend. 

"Oh, uhm, wanna come in?" I asked not knowing how to greet him.

"Yeah, your room?" He asked.

I nodded.

When we got in I shut the door about me. A bunch of thoughts flooded my brain.

I was snapped out of my thought by Nicks beautiful voice.

"So, if I did something Im sorry. You've been ignoring me so I  got you something to try and make it up to you."

I immediately felt guilty. I wasn't ignoring him I just didn't want to be annoying.

"I got you the shoes but the sweatshirt is one I wore yesterday." He said as he handed me a bag.

I took the bag and looked inside and saw a new pair of converse. This man really bought me converse and gave me another hoodie? I feel so bad right now.

"Nick, I wasn't ignoring you or mad at you. I didn't want to seem annoying. Im so sorry you didn't have to get me these." I said with a sad tone.

"I would have probably gotten them for you anyway. And what have I said about the apologizing?"

"Not to do it?"

"Exactly."

"God I love you." I said out loud

My hand flew to my mouth. That just slipped out. Well, shit.

Nicks pov

"God I love you."

Wait, 'i love you'? WAIT. I LOVE YOU.

I looked calm on the outside but on the inside im having a full on bi panic right now.

Charlies hand flew to his mouth and a worried expression formed on his face.

"Im sorry. If you aren't ready to say it back it-"

I cut him off.

"I love you." I said.

Those three words shut Charlie up really quick. Charlie stared in disbelief.

"Really?" Charlie asked.

"Yes, so true."

I didn't notice how close our faces were. I closed the gap betweens us. His lips were soft and he tasted like coffee. Charlies third addiction next to me and shoes.

The kiss was soft and passionate. Full of love. Kind of like our first one. We pulled away staring at each other.

how did I get so lucky?
