Night Life (Shenlan)

A modern spy AU, just thought I'd drop it to clear up some misunderstandings beforehand.

"We have a mission. It was personally handed by the boss" Yen Hua handed the files to Yelan.

"A boy named child? Pffttt, what kind of name is that?!" Yelan scoffed at the portfolio that her partner had given her.

"With an E, Yelan. And he's one of them. Or at least that's what boss suspects"

"Hm. Another potential fatuus? Oh great, if I get caught they might just kill me from stealing their expensive jacket that tall dumb guy left unsupervised" Yelan mumbled, a small smile formed on her lips.

"And why are you smiling about that? You know what- nevermind"

Her team leader, Yen Hua sighed. Then continues, "Anyway, you will be investigating. Try to snoop some information an-"

"Alright."

Yen Hua sighed, as Yelan stood up, then walks to the door.

Personally handed by the boss, huh. This seems suspicious.

"7:22. He's here." Yelan mumbled through her comms, just enough to hear for the other line. Then she sat on one of the bar stools and signaled the bartender to get her a drink.

"Yelan, you're not here to fight them, okay? We're just here to get some intel, we don't want to make the wrong move" The other line says.

"Got it. Seduce him and go"

"On your own?" The bartender asked, giving her the drink. Yelan nodded, her head still down.

"Mind if I ask why a gorgeous lady like you is in a bar all by yourself?" The bartender leaned over the counter, trying to make a conversation.

Of course, that slightly pissed off Yelan, so she took a deep breath, ready to pop off, but then as she looked up, what she saw was the most gorgeous woman she had ever seen in her life.

shit.

"Yelan?" Yen Hua asked through her comms, and upon hearing that then staring at the gorgeous bartender, she cleared her throat.

"Oh, so who's this pretty girl over here?" A male voice was heard behind Yelan, making her turn her head.

She flirtatiously smiled. It was Childe.

"Tell me, pretty stranger. What's your name?" Childe asked, placing his arm around Yelan's waist.

Yelan was fuming on the inside. How dare he touch her like that. But her rage was covered by a sweet smile.

"Fen yao" She says, smiling.

"Hmmm... Fen yao, mind if you join me?" He asks, standing up, then holding out his hand with a charming smile on his face.

"Not at all" Yelan- *cough* I mean, Fen yao says, taking his hand.

The bartender watched the two walking away, she says through her comms, "Sorry, she got away"

"Find a way, Shenhe." A stern voice replied through the comms.

"Will do."
