I stared blankly at the empty page on my desk.
Everyone had left the classroom.
Juri left after I walked away from him.... I guess he really is moving.
....now what?
I was mad at him, because he yelled at me for not being his real a sister a week ago. He tried to apologize, but nothing could've been done to take back those words.
I placed my head on the table, drawing small circles with my finger.
"Thought you'd be in here..."
I looked up to see Tamaki, a small smile on his face. I placed my cheek in my hand, staring up at the blonde.
"What is it? Shouldn't you be on your way home?" I asked. He smiled, pulling up a chair.
"Yes...but we decided to stay." he said, sitting down. "You looked down this afternoon, and as friends, we have to make sure your okay!" he said as a more heads peeked through the door.
"Are you okay, Ume-Chan!?" Hannizouka asked."You were gonna fight that guy, weren't you?" the twins asked. They kept on going about that.
...is it just me, or have they multiplied?
"I'm fine. And I don't consider people I've just met friends..." I said, getting up.
"Ah-wait! That's mean~" Tamaki said, grabbing my hand.
"Sorry...but, is Juri your brother?" Haruhi asked.
"....you know him?" I asked, ripping Tamaki's hand off my arm.
"He used to live next door to me before he moved away a few years ago... He was a good friend of mine. I'm glad to meet his sister." he told me.
"....you must be seen a side of him that others haven't...And he's my step brother. Marriage by my dad and his dad."
"Your parents are gay!?" they asked.
"...is that a problem?"
"No, no, it's just that...uh-"
"You guys are such idiots..." Haruhi said before sighing. He's right. "Love isn't based on gender."
"...That's right... I'll see you sometime later." I said, picking up my bag. "And next time, don't stay after school. They have gang fights here." I said before they gave me a shocked look.
"Kyoya, call up the taxi-!!!" They yelled.
"On it." Kyoya said. The only calm one was the giant.
.....he was like a tree.
"So we'll see you tomorrow?" Haruhi asked.
"...sure. I'm never absent." I smiled, walking out.
"I think we found our student..." I heard someone say.

I walked home, getting my keys and instantly having a rice cake shoved in my mouth.
"Eat up. I'm making some for dinner." Sid said as he walked over to the kitchen, this boxers having a ketchup stain. Guess he stayed home.
"...hmm." I said, taking it out if my mouth and chewing it.
It was good.
"Did you see your brother today?" my dad asked from the table.
My brother lives with his on and off girlfriend. Sometimes he crashes here or at their apartment when they aren't fighting. He goes to a day college.
"Yeah..." I told him.
"Did he tell you?" he asked.
"Tell me what?" I asked, pretending to okay dumb. He sighed, putting down his bottle and patting the seat next to him. I sat down, fiddling with my fingers nwrvously under the table as I looked up at him with a calm expression.
"Your brother is leaving to America to go to a university. He's breaking up with Hiroko and going there Friday. We finally made up the money and we're sending him there...so things might be a little rough here." he told me.
"...I see." I said as he placed a hand on my shoulder. "...I want his room." I said. Dad smiled.
My brother wanted to be a doctor.
He made that his dream when he met me.
He never told me why.
"He had a feeling you'd say that...I know you two were close until...the accident. But maybe this distance will make you guys be even closer. And maybe you'll both mature and his academic goals should inspire you to go to college. Sid and I never went to college...and we didn't get to give you kids the best-"
"It's fine." I said, getting up. "I'll go to college...so don't worry. I'll go do my homework. I'm not hungry ..." I said as I walked upstairs. I looked at him to see him rubbing his temples, sighing.
I hated when he talked about that.
It makes me wonder...if I we're never born...would his life have been more meaningful and happy?
He's stuck here raising two kids.
And living in a world where people think love is wrong or right when it's convenient for them.
I plopped on my bed, giving a huge huff.
"...that rice cake was good."
