Jewel was able find her math class easily, but the teacher yelled at her for being late. Jewel explained to the teacher why she was late and she was given a warning. She saw an empty seat, which was right next to Finn. He asked for her schedule and told her that he had all the same classes together. The teacher started class and that was when Jewel started to cry. Eventually the teacher notice and asked why are you crying, but Jewel didn't answer. Now the whole class was laughing except for Finn, who was trying to calm her down. Soon the teacher called the counselor for help. Once she came over, the class got silent except for Jewel, and the counselor asked for Jewel to come to her office. In the hallway, people were staring at her like she was mental and her mind, she was thinking if she was.

They got to the office and the counselor asked what was wrong, and Jewel stated, "I have always remember that my dad would help me with my math and that my mom was a math teacher, so when the class started it reminded me of them, which made me sad because they are now dead and it happen near my birthday, which is today."

The counselor stopped to think about how to solve this problem, but before she could talk Jewel stated, "I feel like they are still alive and that I don't belong here. I want to go home with my own parents and my friends. I also want to walk down the street and see celebrities and act like I know them personally. When I came here, I didn't even know what a cow was, so that is how I know that I don't belong anywhere near here." She stood out of her chair and walked to the office with tears in her eyes. The counselor stopped her before she could leave the school and called Mrs. James to pick Jewel up.

Mrs. James came as quickly as she could to find Jewel crying in the office. She asked Jewel what is wrong, but she said nothing. Mrs. James asked the counselor and she explained everything. In the car, Mrs. James told Jewel to close her eyes when they get into the house because she has presents everywhere and an unfinished cake lying on the counter. Jewel laughed because she thought it was a joke, but Mrs. James was not kidding. Mrs. James help Jewel get to her room safely and without Jewel seeing all her presents. She walked into her and notice something different that she thought Mrs. James forgot to put away, and when she called her Mrs. James just slapped her forehead. It was a brand new laptop that Mrs. James was going to wrap up, but forgot to. Mrs. James quickly went back into the family room and grabbed a bow to put on top of the laptop. Jewel laughed and took the bow off the laptop and acted surprised. Mrs. James said happy birthday and left the room to finish the cake.

Jewel got on her new laptop to get on her Facebook to see all her friends saying happy birthday and that they miss her. There was a video of all of her old teachers saying happy birthday and doing a small dance for her. She laughed and then a friend request came up. It was Finn.
