Addicted

Chapter 4

Jewel woke with Finn on her mind and when she got on her laptop, she saw a message from him saying that he loves her and that he misses her already. Then Jewel heard a noise coming from the door, but nothing came in. She decide to head out for breakfast when she tripped over something. When she looked, there was a black and white cat with a red collar on. Jewel got closer to the cat and saw the name on the tag and it was "Prince Caspian". He was the James' cat. Then the cat left the room and she left for breakfast.

Mrs. James was there with pen in her hand trying to figure out the budget when she saw Jewel. She got up and fixed her a bowl of cereal with some milk, then she asked Jewel why she was on her computer for so long last night. Jewel just said that she was busy talking to her old friends in California. Then a loud crash came from the family room. It was Caspian trying to jump on to the ceiling fan, but actually land on the lamp. Mrs. James ran over to the cat and said that you are getting to fat and put him down on the ground. During the whole thing, Jewel was laughing like crazy, and moments she stopped just she could laugh again because Caspian was trying to do it again. Eventually, Caspian gave up and Jewel went back to her room to take a nap.

She woke up with Caspian on her shoulder and when she got up she saw her laptop screen light up. It Finn saying that he is going to be at Moothru in twenty minutes. She asked Mrs. James if she could head over there and she said sure. On the drive there, Mrs. James was trying to figure out why she wanted to head over for ice cream, so Jewel let her guess. Her first guess was that she was hungry, but Jewel said yes but it was not her main reason. Then she guessed with that she met a friend and again was closer with Jewel main reason. That was when Mrs. James freaked and almost hit the car next to them. Then at the top of her lungs she yelled you have a boyfriend, but before Jewel could explain, Mrs. James was calling Mr. James, who was in the middle of an important meeting with his boss, telling him that Jewel has a boyfriend. After the short conversation, they made it to Moothru where Finn was waiting.

Jewel said bye and went over to Finn to hug him. They talked everything that they had in common, like they both love to ride bikes and that they also love chocolate ice cream. After an hour of conversations and ice cream, Mr. James pulled up in the parking lot and when Jewel saw him, she asked Finn to walk her over there. They got in front of the car and then Finn got close in and kissed her. Happiness filled Jewel's body and when he pulled back, she couldn't talk or move. Then Mr. James came out of the car and tapped Jewel back into reality. Finn said goodbye and walked across the street to a house. Jewel got into the car with relief, but a slight want for more. In the car, they said nothing and once inside Mrs. James asked how it was, but she was still speechless, so Mr. James said that they kissed and that the boy was the pastor's son.

Jewel went to her laptop where there was a message from Finn saying that since tomorrow is Saturday, they could head over to the roller rink for another date. She replied with yes and a smiley face. After much talk, she said goodnight, changed into pajamas, and fell asleep.
