Chad and Brian both walked into the forest, the wind slowly blowing and the rain lightly drizzling.
"Oh hell this is so nice."
Brian exclaimed.
"I'm gonna call you Chad wherever we end up," he told his friend.
"Chad, say that again."
Brian asked but he didn't need to.
He knew who was speaking.
He smiled and said "Who is this?"
He heard the laughing voice of John saying, "Good, see you soon, have a good day."
And he responded, "Not until you tell me who you are!"
"I'm John, your new boss."
John replied.
"You're a jerk and you already have me.
Now get lost!"
Chad screamed as he felt himself getting colder.
He suddenly heard a voice coming from behind.
"Chad, if you won't tell me now, what will you tell me tomorrow?"
"Not one more word," Chad said, fighting the cold.
John took a few steps closer to Chad.
"Come on, come on, what will it take?"
Chad pushed himself closer to the one he had thought to be his enemy.
"Look, this is insane, you have got to get out of here.
I won't tell you another thing."
John smiled again.
"Listen, I'm a nice guy, I would never hurt you."
Chad felt the snow flakes from the sky hitting his face and felt his breath was being taken away.
He tried to speak but couldn't find his voice.
Chad put out his hands and John grabbed one of them.
Chad felt his body getting lighter as he looked into John's eyes, not understanding what was going on.
It wasn't until he felt his feet leave the ground that he realized what had happened.
He opened his eyes.
He was looking at a glistening blue lake in front of him.
He noticed he was wearing the same type of outfit he had been wearing in the forest.
He raised his hand and let a little snow fall on his face and felt the wind that was blowing and the iciness on his hand.
He heard a voice again.
"Chad, that day I saw you take your first step was a proud day for me.
You were the first person I had to give a second chance to.
Now look at you.
Do you know how difficult it was to bring you back?
I had to find out how you'd changed.
You were on the streets, you'd lost everything, but here you are, alive and healthy."
He looked down at Chad.
"I'm sorry I never knew you were alive.
You don't know how happy it makes me to know that you're all right.
