Luke's P.O.V
My head was aching by the time I got to school. All I could think about is what I've done to Eliza.

When the recess bell finally rang, I almost tripped over my own feet, running up to the oval to get away from the noise of the halls being filled with people chatting away. I dug my hands into my pockets and pulled out something that I hadn't seen in a while: a pack of cigarettes. I grabbed one out and found my lighter, before lighting it up. Instantly, I felt a wave of calmness wash through me.

Once I finished my cigarette, I began to ask myself questions. "Why do I all of a sudden care? I'm her bully" I tried to tell myself, but I pushed those thoughts away for a bit. I looked over at the school, seeing a group forming down one of the corridors and a few faint calls, but I ignored it all. (A/N: yes guys, the group is around Eliza as she was on the ground with the teacher)

I let the rest of my thoughts run freely through my head. 'Why have you done this to her? She could never deserve a single punch of it.' 'When are you going to apologize? Are you gonna wait til one day when that punch was just a bit to hard and you find yourself crying your eyes out, apologizing to a casket?' Without realizing, I began to shake. How did I let myself begin this? These thoughts were haunting me and even though I knew I had to apologize, I couldn't just walk up and say it: done and dusted. It would never be good enough. I needed to build it up and do something big for her. I had unit 3 maths with her next period, so I could start being nice.

When the bell rang, I slowly made my way towards my maths room. I walked in, smiling over at the teacher, before walking down to my seat at the back of the classroom. I passed an empty desk. Wait. Where was Eliza?

I stood up quickly, making an excuse to the teacher about needing the bathroom and almost sprinted to the office.
"Hi Miss, is Eliza Paige here?" I mumble nervously.
"Sorry honey, she's with the school nurses. She's got some pretty bad bruises and she passed out on her way up here" the nurse replied. I awkwardly nodded back then went around the corner to outside the school nurses office. I looked in and saw Eliza laying motionless on the bed in the corner. 'Man that looks uncomfortable', I thought.

The nurses had rolled up her sleeves to take a look at the bruises forming just underneath her shoulder. I don't think I'd seen her arms uncovered since her first day at this school. I looked around the room, making sure it was empty, then snuck up next to Eliza.

She was curled up, almost in a ball, with her arms loosely tucked underneath her body. I took a glimpse of her arms and saw something I didn't want to see. Cuts. All down her arms. My breathing quickened as I slowly tugged her arms out from underneath her to take a better look. There must have been at least 30 down each arm. Her eyes began to slowly flutter, so I quickly ran out of the room, closing the door behind me.

Eliza's P.O.V
I felt someone lightly grasping my arm, stroking down my cuts. I tried to open my eyes a few times which was proving to be very difficult. After a minute or two my eyes began to flutter open. But whoever was there let go of my arm and quickly made their way to the door. I saw a flash of blonde hair as the person ran off. I sighed, confused and slowly shut my eyes and fell back to sleep.

Michael's P.O.V
"Calum?"I ask, looking over to him I'm our ancient history class.
"Yep? What's wrong?" Calum replied, not taking his eyes off his phone.
"I feel bad. Really bad. About today." I answered back. He looked over at me, his eyebrows raised slightly.
"You're not seriously going pussy are you, Michael? Pussy like Luke... He's been white for weeks over the whole Eliza thing." Calum laughed harshly.
I forced a laugh back, replying with "Oh, of course not. I must just be not feeling great today."
"Good." Calm returned his gaze to his phone. I inwardly sighed. That didn't go as well as I had planned. I wondered where Luke was anyway, at least I could talk to him about it. I'm sure he'll understand more then Calum. I quickly texted him then I got back to my work.
