"Bes." mahinang tawag niya na may bahid ng lungkot. "Ano ba kasing nangyari?"
"This." sayang turo ko sa katawan ko. "This is what happened."
"Katangahan bes. Akala ko nakamove on ka na?"
"Akala ko din eh." nagbaba ako ng tingin sabay baling sa labas ng bintana.
Somehow the view of the sea calms me. Maybe this is one of the reasons why I chose to stay and not to hide where we will never cross paths again.
"Pero wala eh, nahulog na naman ako."
I unconsciously touch my stomach.
There. There. At least I'm still happy.
