3: slapped by epiphany

Weeks passed since Geto Suguru figured out the dreams.

Fortunately, after he realized it, Anzen was kind enough to explain what this phenomena was.

After that, Suguru and Anzen ended up chatting every night, talking about all sort of things. However, most of their topic was about one certain pretty fool named Gojo Satoru.

"Seriously? You guys should leave those kids alone."

"It's not our fault that they kept making fun of me. Satoru and I just defended my honor."

"Still, they're kids. At least, just snitch on them to their parents."

"Nah, that's not satisfying enough. It's best if we get to make them cry in public."

Suguru grew helpless the more they talked about it. Although what Anzen did was to defend himself, wasn't it wrong to take it out on children almost half their age? They should have just taken a video of it and gave it to their parents so that those rascals get disciplined.

Yet Anzen and Satoru took the most childish approach to have ever existed.

They retaliated.

"Oh, right," Anzen spoke up. "What school do you guys go to? I'm planning to pick up Satoru tomorrow."

"..." How should he go about with this? Had Satoru told Anzen what kind of students they were in the first place?

Noticing the hesitance in his eyes, Anzen couldn't help but smile, finding Suguru's concern to be a tad bit cute. "Just a quick question for you; why do you think you always end up in my dreams instead of others?"

"Huh?" Stumped, no answer formed inside Suguru's head. If he knew, wouldn't he have done something about it the first few days of experiencing a shared dream?

"Many people can do dream walking. Of course, there are those who can do it naturally and there are people who can train themselves to enter this state. Sometimes, some unfortunate ones would accidentally dream walk by chance and enter someone's dream. That's what happened to you; you entered the state of dream walking by chance and barged into my dream at the same time.

"In this world, there are people who specializes in dream walking. It's a pretty neat skill of you think about it. However, there are also people who uses this skill to do unimaginable things... like using this skill to deal with curses."

The moment the word curses escaped his lips, Suguru threw a bewildered glance at Anzen. "You, You've been aware this whole time?"

"That's right," Anzen snickered behind his hand. "You guys aren't exactly secretive about it. From time to time, you and Satoru would let a handful of cursed energy leak. There's also that time Satoru slapped a low-level curse away right in front of my face. You guys aren't really that good at being subtle sometimes."

Disbelief.

That was the only thing visible in Suguru's eyes. He and Satoru had tried to be so careful every time they met up with Anzen but who would have thought that Anzen himself was a sorcerer?

"But," he furrowed his forehead in confusion. "That doesn't answer the question of why I always end up here."

"Tsk tsk," Anzen clicked his tongue in a playful manner. "I have always attracted people who dream walks because my cursed technique is literally called Dream Walker."

Silence brewed between them with Suguru opening and closing his mouth like a fish, trying to come up what to say. Instead, he said, "We go to Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical College; you can pick up Satoru any time."
