I'm so glad to read that you weren't anywhere near that mall when it burnt down! I hope you didn't lose any friend in that fire.
I've been meaning to ask you about something. Until recently, I was in contact with a student from Purdue and we were discussing some strange electromagnetic disturbance that had happened in Hawkins. The last time we spoke was just after the blackout that occurred at the end of June and since then, nothing.
I know you're not into that techy science stuff but... Don't you think it's weird? I mean, there was clearly something going on during that power shortage and it seemed to match previous records from last year. I think someone might have forced them to drop their research.
Did you hear about anything from Purdue students? Like the FBI showing up at the university or, I don't know... Gosh, reading myself I feel stupid. Maybe they just want to get all the credits for whatever they found.
Anyway, I'm not making much sense so I'm gonna stop there.
