Dauntless-Born

Chapter 1

Four and I have lived together for two months now. I successfully passed as first in my initiate class, and life couldn't be better for either of us. Except for-

"Tris! Christina and Will are here!" Four calls from the room over.

I walk to the front door of our apartment. Four originally wanted to live alone, but he said he wanted me to live with him once I passed initiation. 

Sure enough, I am greeted by Christina and Will. 

"Tris!" Christina pulls me in for a hug and I squeeze her like I haven't seen her in years.

I can't help but notice that Will seems anxious.

"What's wrong Will? You look nervo-"

"We're engaged!" Christina cuts me off.

"Congrats you two!" I squeal.

"And?" Will says to Christina.

"I'm pregnant!"

I squeal again and give Christina another hug.

"Why did you wait to tell us?" I ask.

"It happened at the same time yesterday. We were on a date sitting on the rocks in the chasm and I gave Will a gift box. It had the test and a dad shirt in it. Then he proposed. He told me he had been waiting for tonight to do it." Christina explains.

"This one refuses to even do it with me," Four says, nodding to me.

"It's great fun, actually," Will says, "coming from someone who originally didn't want to."

"So how far along are you, Christina?" I ask, changing the subject.

"Only three weeks. I found out two days ago and immediately went to the doctor."

"We should probably get going. We are getting matching tattoos!" Will says.

"Ooh! Have fun!" I say and hug them both again.

With that, they are out the door.

"We should get tattoos, too," Four says.

I go get the phone and book an appointment with Tori. She was open all day after Christina and Will, so we just went after I called.

We ended up getting a six and a four on the inside of our wrists. The number of fears we each have.
