|| Liho's Point of View ||
I was having a nice and relaxing nap on my couch, when suddenly the door opened and my human came in with a- Ugh. Is that a dog? Stupid, overactivebafoons. They can never leave you alone, always jumping and running around. Wait, wait, wait. Why is she carrying him in the direction of my bed?!?
Don't you dare you stupid, soft hearted human. And she laid him down. Ugh, he's gonna get it all messy. And she's going for a towel. Does she have to do it on my bed?!? She then had the audacity to to look at me disapprovingly?!?
"Don't look at me like that. I'm helping him, doesn't mean I'm keeping him." Stupid human. She doesn't even realize how soft hearted she is.
"You said the same thing about me, and look how that turned out."
"Yes, I know I said the same thing about you, but this is different-"
"Oh please, we both know you're gonna keep that disgusting buffoon. You're too weak to resist a pair of puppy eyes. I give it a week before he's taking my place on our bed."
"Relax, as soon as I find a vet, I'm taking him there."
"And then you're gonna bring him back and he's gonna ruin everything." She was saying something else, but I didn't even listen. Honestly, humans are all so stupid. I gracefully walked over and hopped on a chair by the counterand elegantly laid down watching the two of them. The chair gave me better view of the whole scene, so I could at least watch over, so those two don't screw up anything else. Now that I was closer I could hear the dog whimpering. Is he injured? My human stood up again. What is she going to do? Wait. No. No. Don't you dare. And she's done it. Ruining my bed wasn't enough. Now she has to ruin my carrier too. She put the dog into it and looked at me.
"Relax." she said. How am I supposed to relax?!? She just put a dirty dog in my bed AND in my carrier. And I swear, her stupidity is even more annoying. She's not adopting him. Ha, don't make me laugh. She'll have him named by tomorrow. After she finished ruining my carrier, my human went and opened her computer leaving the dog alone. He whimpered again. I looked around and saw that my human was distracted searching for something. I hopped off the chair and made my way to the carrier to inspect how much damage had been done. The blanket wrapped around the dog was dirty and soaked. The dog was still whimpering. I slowly made my way to the dog. He was laying there, whimpering. He must have been in a lot of pain. He looked at me all sad and whined. Ugh. Fine, I'll grace him with my presence. I sat down next to him and started comforting him.I was sitting there for a little while, when I heard my human standing up. She headed over to us and started smiling. Why is she smiling?!? I looked away and went back to comforting the dog. It took us some time to get to the vet and when we did arrive, we had to stand outside for a little, for some reason. When we finally made it inside and the carrier's doors were opened I smoothly left the carrier and jumped on a counter nearby. I carefully sat down and yep. Just as I thought. I had perfect view from the counter. The new human looked confused for some reason, but, to his credit, quickly got to work.
My human made her way to me. What is she doing? Why is she picking me up? Let me down you peasant. You only get to hold me when I allow it-. And oh. Yes right there. Yes, I suppose I do deserve some petting for all the hardwork I put into comforting that dog. I was very relaxed, but then I heard the vet's question.
"Are you adopting him or...?" Here it goes...
"I- uh- Sure-"I turned my head to my human. Told you so. Now I was stuck with a dog. But I suppose, I could make do. Maybe I could teach him my ways. I mean, of course, he would never reach my level, cause after all cats are superior to dogs, but...
|| 5 DAYS LATER ||
We came back a few times over the next few days, but today Puppy finally had his own carrier. My human named him Puppy. I know. My human is weird.My human clearly liked the vet human. I couldn't understand what she thought she was doing. The vet human clearly didn't notice her feelings. She should just bring him a mouse. She could show him her dedication and the ability to provide food by hunting one down herself. Once the check up was done Puppy started running circles around me. It was annoying, but I put up with it. Let him tire himself out. When we return home I'll start teaching him the proper ways of a self respecting pet. We were about to leave when my human kissed the vet human on the cheek. I suppose that works too. I still believe a mouse would have been better, but oh well. Humans are weird.
