Y/N's POV
I walked into Family Video to see Steve and Robin begins the counter. "hey there, cutie." Robin says. me being the bisexual dumbass that I am, I obviously get flustered. (who wouldnt!?) "h- hi, Robin.." I reply. "what can I help you with? shops about ready to be closed up." she adds. "oh. I was coming to meet Steve like I always do." I say, looking to meet a slightly pissed off Steve like I always do. "oh. alright! lets get this shop closed up for the night, Steve." "mhm." he hums in response as we all leave the store, locking the front door.

Steve and Robin get in the front whilst I hop on the back. I look out the window as houses and scenery move by as we drove down the road towards Robin's house. as we pulled up outside her place, Robin grabbed her stuff. "well, I shall see you tomorrow. bye, dingus! bye, y/n." we say goodbye to her then drive off after she closes the door. I decided to stay in the back as we continued to drive home. "we're having a little talk once we're home." is all he says and I swallow down the nervous lump in my throat.

once we pulled up in the driveway of Steve's house, I hesitated to get out of the car. I don't want another fight to happen. not like last time. "y/n, out of the car otherwise I'm locking you in!" he tells me in a firm tone. I shakily open then car door and get out of the car, closing the door behind me, Steve locking the car and we walk to the front door. Steve unlocks the front door and lets me in first, stepping in after me, slamming the door shut which causes me to jump slightly. "the fuck was that back at the store?" he questions.

I stay silent as I removed my coat. "y/n, I swear to god. fucking answer me!" he yells at me, after I put my coat on the rack, shaking slightly. "..it was a n- nickname she gave me..." I tell him in a quiet voice, shaking and a small stutter escapes me. "you obviously liked it because you fucking blushed and stuttered." I hold back tears as he continued to "talk" to me.

"how was it seeing Eddie. did you kiss him." I look at him. "what the fuck, Steve. he's my best friend. sat in a fucking hospital bed! with injuries from your shitty fucking plan!!" I yell at him.

"don't pick your tone with me, y/n." "oh? and why shouldn't I?! you're literally accusing me of something I didn't do. just like last week! do me a favour, Steve. and pull your head out of your fucking ass! SEE WHAT DAMAGE YOU'RE CAUSING TO ME! TO US!! OUR RELATIONSHIP!" I yell at him again, a tear falling. he stood there, looking at me with pain and guilt filled eyes. "I'm going to take a shower.." I say, running upstairs to the bathroom as Steve goes to the kitchen to make us something to eat for dinner tonight.

Later

as I finished drying my hair with my crop top and shorts on, my pjs for tonight, I walk downstairs into the kitchen and I come face to face with a tear stained, red puffy eyed Steve. "Steve.." I say, feeling bad for another argument happening yet again. he pulls me into a hug, hiding his face in my shoulder. "baby.. i'm sorry..." he whispers. "no.. i'm sorry." I reply and he pulls back to look me in the eyes. "I shouldn't get so angry. I should've just accepted it and moved on but I didn't." he admits. "babe.. it's okay.! you're just protective of me and you don't want to lose me. that's why you reacted the way you did." i say to calm him down.

he sniffles then smiles softly, wiping his tears away. "I promise it won't happen again. ever." he tells me and I smile at him. "then I accept your apology. because, I love you Steve." "I love you too, y/n. I love you too much to lose you or let you go." I blush lightly at his words as he pulls us into a kiss, it was filled with passion and lovingness. we pull apart for air and smile at each other. "cmon, foods going to get cold." he tells me.

we sit at the table and eat our food, talking about how our days went. Steve's day at Family Video went great. my day, however, didn't go as planned. when I went to the hospital today, I was immediately saddened.

I was hoping that someone would be awake and ready to talk to me..

But...

they weren't..

it was Eddie..

he was still resting. I didn't know when or even if he was ever going to wake up anytime soon but I always go and pay him visits. to check on him. to talk to him even though he probably can't hear me. to see if he had even moved once to take note of if he had awoken or not. it was all for Dustin's sake. after what happened in the upside down, he fucked up his leg pretty badly when he went back through the portal to help Eddie. he limps around everywhere he goes...

I'm glad he got Steve and the others to help him back through. if not, I wouldn't know what I would've done.. the doctors said they were lucky when they brought him in when they did. if they had took any longer, we would've lost him.. he bled pretty badly. he has scars like Steve from the injuries caused by the demobats. I think they look cool. "scars make you look brave" is what I got told growing up. and.. Eddie always looked brave. with or without scars. he was a hero at the end of the day. the groups hero. Dustin's hero. my hero<3.

the rest of the night, Steve and I spent it with kisses and cuddles on the sofa whilst watching a movie together, holding each other close in our arms. praying that tomorrow would be a better day. a perfect day.

The Day Eddie Finally Wakes Up...

ahhhhh!! i got myself close to tears whilst i was doing this for you all! literal tears!! 😭

Steve, Robin and Nancy all ran back to the portal to see if Eddie and Dustin were alright. But, the outcome shook them. Eddie had bought them just enough time to finish the job only for them to find out that Vecna has slipped away as they were rushing outside. all that remains where he landed was a blood patch. nothing more. nothing less. they rushed him to a hospital and got Eddie there just in time. anymore and they would've lost him, maybe for good due to blood loss. he passed out due to choking on his blood and he had been sleeping for weeks. he only ever woke up once but that was to have medicine and food. after that, y/n visited him more and more for Dustin since he was helping out a lot at the food bank along with everything else that they folks of Hawkins were doing inside of Hawkins Middle School for all those who chose to stay in their town. Dustin managed to see Eddie's Uncle, Wayne, and speak to him. to tell him that Eddie was alive and alright. nobody else knew. except for the gang plus Hopper and Joyce.
