Years have past and now Caiden was twelve and in the sixth grade. Jacob had completed school and is now twenty-two and is in college with his new girlfriend, Lexi. Cory is exactly 20, and Caleb is nineteen and they are both attending a small, not much attended, college in New York.

"Caiden! Hurry up! Are you waiting on Christmas?" yelled Mrs. McGrady. Caiden was expected by her mother to go see her father once a week at his office.

"It's only Tuesday, Mom! Can't I wait!"Caiden argued.

"No! Besides, you have to go get a present for Katherine. Do you know what you are going to get her?" Mrs. McGrady quickly changed the argument. Caiden just stomped out of her no longer shared room with an unpleased look upon her face.

"Duh" Caiden said with a sarcastic tone," I've known it forever." Mrs. McGrady handed Caiden's money toward her and gave her a "then go" look. Without pleasure, Caiden stomped out of the room and out onto the sidewalk out front of the apartment. She ran to the bus stop when she saw the bus rumbling there. She caught the door right before the bus driver closed it completely.

After the bus finally arrived at the city, Caiden trampled off onto the hustle and bustle city streets of New York. Caiden walked past all her favorite stores. Not that she could afford it, she just liked looking at the high dollar clothes. Right when Caiden arrived at the toy store she was going to, her old, cheap phone rang out.

"What," Caiden answered the phone in an aggravated tone.

"Hey, back of. Just called to check on you, and tell you something," Jacob called out.

"Oh, hey! Sorry. I'm in a bad mood because Mom is making me go see Dad today, even though it's only Tuesday. So, what's your news," an apologetic tone came from Caiden mixed with some relief that her brother was calling.

"I'm coming home today!" excitement came from Jacob's voice that he would get to see his sister again.

"Great! I'll see you at home! Love you!" Caiden said more excited than it sounds. She was someone who got to the point very quickly and didn't show much affection.

"Love you!" Jacob hung up the phone, and jumped in his car. Now that Caiden was released from Jacob, she could get the present, see her father, and finally leave. She searched for the one doll that Katherine had wanted when she was younger, but her father always wanted her to be more mature than everyone else and not live like a child would.

He always pushed Katherine to ack better than everyone and to be a stuck up brat. Sadly, he would even beat her if she did what a normal child would do. Her mother did not know, and when she did, it was a quick divorce. Caiden always felt bad about Katherine's past. So, even though they don't play with these little dolls anymore, it symbolizes something important.

Then, there it was. The doll. It had blond hair in two braids pulled to the front, with tiny bows at the ends. The face was decorated with big blue eyes shaped like a thumb, a little nose, smiling lips that were a bright pink, and five freckles on each cheek. It wore an adorable, little, pink dress that was fitted at the top, then flowed out. The shoes were the same color as the dress and the socks were a light pink.

The tag read ten dollars, so Caiden pulled out her money and bought the doll. She left the store and started walking to the Twin Towers where her father works.

The walk took forever, and when finally arrive, she took advantage of the soft sofa in the opening, and sat for a while. When she was rested up, she went up the elevator to the floor where her dad worked. As she entered the threshold of her father's office she began to speak.

"Hi fa..." But was cut off by a massive explosion.
