Even though my husband hurted me so much I still love him but love consumes and anger too.
after the conversation we had the other day I knew that I have to practice being distant to him kailangan ko mag sanay at masanay dahil hindi naman sya mag sta-stay forever he'll leave in no time.
"It must have been hard keeping a secret from your husband" I heard someone speaking from the door of my kitchen.
I turned around to look at the man who just spoke, it was papa my adoptive father "what are you doing here pops?" I asked them to continue cooking.
"Honey, you should tell him about it." he asked with annoyance in his voice.
"Can you just stop, please? Can we atleast not talk about it"
"Fine, anyways I just came here to visit you and my grandchildren," he replied, pulling my arm to look at him.
He hugged me. He knew that I needed that hug and I missed his hugs. I missed my papa.
"I missed you papa" i said while hugging him
"I know honey and I miss you too."
After the lunch we had, papa has to leave because he has to come back home.
"Alright kids take care of your mother, I will miss you two and please visit pops okay?" he said while carrying both of them.
"Okay papa, you're going to be late for your flight," I said, trying to change the topic. I know what he's trying to do.
"says who? I can be late anytime I want" he said with sarcasm in his voice
damn my father "yeah but still you should go they need you there pa" I said.
"alright"
"alright pa i have to take the kids in for a nap have safe trip papa" phoenix said.
After pheonix went inside papa held my hand and said "you should tell him sweetie, and come home if you can't take it anymore."
"yes papa i'll try to tell him, please take care I love you and we'll visit whenever we can okay?"
"yes, I love you too sweetie take care okay?"
"hmmm" I said while hugging him.
pagkatapos namin mag lunch at pag ka alis ni papa ay nakatanggap ako ng page mula sa hospital 911 ito kaya nag madali akong umalis ng bahay.
"okay what do we got?" I said in a shouting voice because the Emergency room was in chaos.
"car crash he's a john doe" said the nurse who was keeping an eye on the patient.
"What's the condition?"
"the patient has a collapsed lung and the heart is propelled forward with the rest of the torso"
"Alright let's get him to the CT and x-ray stat!"
After receiving the result of the scans the patient was brought immediately to the operating room and the patient suddenly crashed in the middle of the operation.
"Ok, charge him to 150!"
"3, 2, 1 clear!"
"Clear!"
"Wala pa rin pong heartbeat doc!"
"Charge to 250"
"3, 2, 1 clear!"
"Clear!"
"PULSE!" masiglang sigaw ng anesthesiologist
"Okay we got the patient back let's continue the operation para wala nang maging iba pang komplikasyon ang pasyente."
After the 6 hour surgery, I went to my office to update and finish my paperwork. Since I performed the surgery today I won't be able to go home early. I want to monitor the patient myself.
*phone ringing*
*love calling*
"hey what time are you coming home? I prepared dinner for us." bungad ni phoenix ng sagutin ko ang tawag.
"I can't come home tonight i'm sorry I want to monitor the my patient my self I almost lost him at the table today and he's a john doe" I said.
"oh, okay"
"I'm really sorry it's just that they haven't found the family yet" I felt bad. he cooked.
"no, its' okay, is there anything I can help you with?" he said
"you know what can you help me find the guy's family?"
"Ofcourse i will"
MAG HATING GABI na ng makarating dito si phoenix he sat beside me at sinabayan akong kumain habang nag ta-trabaho ako at ni lolocate naman nya ang pamilya ng aking pasyente.
"I missed your bistek love." I said while chewing
"Love." pag uulit nya habang naka tingin sakin
Nag taka naman ako sa kanya biglang tumahimik at nakatingin sakin "what?"
"Nothing, it's just that I missed you calling me like that. I miss you, I really do."
I looked at him sincerely and smiled "I did too love, I miss you too"
"Hi goo-" naputol ang sasabihin ko ng makita siyang nag iimpake.
"Are you going somewhere love?" tanong ko ng may pag aalala
"Yes, I have to fly back to Greece. She needs me. She's awake and she's looking for me"
Red was in a coma for a month now and ngayon gising na sya no wonder kung bakit umuwi siya dito.
"I will call you when i ge-"
"No, don't call, don't think of me either she needs you i can handle myself i can take it from here." I said while trying to hold back my tears.
"What do you mean you can take it from here?"
I took a deep breath and spoke again "once you got there please never come back here wait no no come back here, me and the kids are going back home to new york i'm ready to take papa's offer"
"What?" he asked confused
"Ash, are you asking me to pick?"
"No phoenix, I'm not asking you for anything. I tried to give you a chance but you threw it away. I'm giving you your way out, you'll have the approved divorcepaper in a week and if you want to see the kids please contact my lawyer i don't ever want to see you, hear your voice and speak to you" I said while smiling at him like there is nothing wrong and I'm not feeling any pain.
"Please say goodbye to our children before you leave." I said while walking away
