I lay in a bed made of soft hide and other soft materials. The blue moon is in the middle of the sky and I can't help but wonder what it would be like if my parents were still alive. I wonder where my sister is at this moment. She knew the queen and king would never allow anyone to leave so she fled.

I haven't seen her since but I can still feel her. Before the world collapsed they called it twin telepathy and I guess it's real. I would know if she's dead but she's not.

I close my eyes and rest for what tomorrow brings.

"My queen, the bloodthirsty queen would like to see you," Blythe tells me as he bows respectfully before leaving.

I prop myself up and pull on a different red gown. The cape that is sewn into the back is black and drags out behind me.

I made my way to the throne room knowing she would be there instead of the neutral room. I walk in seeing her sitting on the throne I call mine.

"What the hell are you doing!" I yell at her, my guards quick to get her out of my seat.

"I can be very convincing and it seems your guards aren't trained properly," Her voice is filled with snide as she's forced to bow before me.

"Leave us," The guards bow before they all make their way out of the room, making sure to shut the door behind them.

"What are your expected plans?"

"Well... First, I want to come up with a plan if we do end up going to war. I've spent spies inside the lands but it seems that one was corrupted so I have the right to believe the rest are," She was hesitant, she doesn't think she can succeed.

"And if we do end up going to war and losing?"

"We both get killed and everyone will be forced to bow before the ice land's king," She has a strong front, almost one I can believe, almost.

"Then tonight we will officially become allies, I'll help you... On the condition, you tell me how some people got ahold of a plant native and that only grows in your territory to poison my parents." I want to know, she was in reign when they died and she's lucky I don't kill her right now.

"What do you mean?"

"Don't play dumb, you have one flower that creates a highly toxic toxin that causes the drugged person to bleed from their eyes and mouth,"

"When, give me a time,"

She looks like she's thinking before she looks me in my eyes.

"10 years ago I banned that flower from ever being taken out of the territory... It must have been smuggled out, meaning I have no idea who the hell poisoned your parents," She's irritated that I would accuse her of such things.

"Fine have it your way... I'll get the truth out of you somehow,"

"I told you, I'm not lying," She says through gritted teeth.

I can practically see her anger as she seethes. She gives up though, not willing to fight for no reason. There's a difference between her and me. If I find it no reason, I'll simply kill the person but the bloodthirsty queen, quite opposite of her title, imprisons them from what I've heard.

She leaves after being dismissed by me, the guards coming in after her. Power, it's a wonderful thing but it can ruin lives at the same time. That's the issue with the ice king. I've met him once before, he tried to offer me riches and goods for the power of my territory, I refused which led to my former second being killed.

Blythe comes in with my little child warrior.

"My queen," They both bow before me before taking their rightful places beside me.

"Blythe, you can leave us for the day. Tend to your family," He looks at me before nodding his head.

"Guards, you may leave us," They reply with 'yes queen' before leaving the throne room.

"My little warrior, have you been practicing?" She nods before throwing me off guard and pulling me off the throne.

"If you expect to get my throne like that then you have a long way to come, my child," I laugh before pulling her down.

"My queen, you must know with your training we will be unstoppable," I look at the child before kicking her in the stomach.

"You left yourself exposed, if it were my blade that struck you instead you would be bleeding out right now,"

She looks disappointed in herself before standing up.

"How do I better myself?" She's straight to the point as she brings her hands behind her back, much like our army leaders.

"Never leave yourself exposed, if you do you die. Never show weakness, if you do you die. And finally, never hesitate, if you-"

"If you do you die, I get it, my queen... Any hesitation and you die..." This is why I have chosen her, the other children may be training warriors but this child will make a great leader of my army.

She may be only 10 years old but she was far more advanced than I was. Physically no but mentally yes. I trust her to lead my army now if it weren't for her age.

"Now grab a sword, any one of your choosing, and try to make me bleed," She has a sparkle in her eye as she heads over to the collection of swords I have.

All of them have been acquired through battle or a native to the land made it for me. The one I hold is the one I killed the royal family with. It's decorated with my family crest and the bodies of harmless swamp spiders.

"I'm ready my queen,"
