this was supposed to be a hu tao x xiao story but- let's have some angst on other characters :> (this gonna be a long chapter-)
(i swear the next chapter will be about hu tao and xiao-)
hu tao pov:
"Sigh... I wonder if Yamate is ever coming back..." I said, brushing my hair, "I'm sure she'll come back soon." Shenhe said, watching a show on the TV with Yun jin.
Raiden yawned while coming out of the bathroom. "Jesus, it's been like what, four days? Yamate is still long, long gone." Raiden let out a sigh.
"WAAAAHH!!! I want her to come back!" Yun jin said, smacking her fists on the couch.
"Hey calm down, she'll come back sooner or later..." Shenhe sighed.
I suddenly remembered a strange memory. "Hey Raiden?" I asked.
"Yea?" She asked. "I- I-" I stuttered. "Are you okay? Just say it." She said.
I then opened the sliding door and went to the balcony. "What are you doing?"
"Why did Mr. Zhongli spar with you?" I asked. Her eyes widened.
She opened her mouth but nothing came out. "Before he left, he told me that he only sparred with me because he knew that I was only capable to do it."
"He told me that I was an itelligent and strong student to him besides Xiao." She said. "Maybe I grew that because my sister is gone." She continued as her hair blew in the wind.
"Hu tao......" Raiden took a glance at me. "I'm not who you think I am." She said.
"I'm not the strong, powerful Raiden Shogun." She said. "Huh? What are you saying?"
She hesitated for a second. "My true self.... Raiden Ei." She said.
Huh!? My jaw almost dropped. "Wha- huh!? That doesn't make sense! Your Raiden Shogun!" I semi yelled.
"My sister passed down her role to me. As she is now gone." A tear fell down her face.
"She promised me her to fufill her role." She said. "We had no time to say goodbye..."
"So let's not call it that....... Makoto." She semi smiled at the sky.
We suddenly teleported somewhere and I closed my eyes tightly before landing on something hard.
"GAH! Ow that hurt!" I opened my eyes to suddenly see Raiden Shogun.
"Huh? Where are we?" I asked while looking around. "What is this place?" I rubbed my eye.
"Huh? Ei?" I looked passed her to see another Raiden Shogun with a polearm. "HUH!?"

"You're just a puppet. I never said that you can talk to my friend." Ei said. "Wait, Ei? That one over there is just a puppet?"
