the next day at school Robin was walking over to her locker, when she saw Nancy there waiting for her! "oh my days, i can't get a brake from u can i?" Robin said rolling her eyes! Nancy stood there, thinking of something, something to say perhaps! "what!?"
"why do u hate me so much!" Nancy asked!
"i dont-" Robin answered untruthfully, she did hate Nancy, atleast she thought so!
"yes u do! Robin it's obvious! and i wanna know why!"
"well- i mean, i don't know, i just- i think r just a bit stuck up, bit of a priss, you know? and i'm not really much of a people person, i dont like anyone, i have one friend and thats steve, i don't need anymore!"
"wow! i mean i get that, but please give me a chance, sit w me at lunch and if u still hate me, u never have to speak to me again, i'll even stop trying to speak to u, just- just please?" Robin sighed, she wanted to say no, but part of her wanted to say yes, probably because she knew it was pointless as she'll still hate her!
"fine, meet me here after the 3rd period!" she reluctlantly said!
just like that lunch rolled around and thats not the only thing rolling around, Robin suddenly remembered her deal with Nancy and rolled her eyes! she walked over to her locker to see Nancy standing there, smiling! "hey, so u wanna head to the canteen?" she asked sighing!
"ye sure!" Nancy replied!
they found a table near the back wall and pulled out their lunches, an awkward silence falling between them!
"so, u dont have much friends either?" robin askwed, breaking the silence!
Nancy cleared her throat before she spoke! "no, but i like being on my own, it doesnt bother me!"
"if u like being on ur own, why u so obsessed with us being friends!?"
"because, ur pretty, and u seemed nice, and i didnt understand why no one would talk to u! i just thought we could both use someone!" The way Nancy said 'ur pretty' made her blush, she didn't even hesitate to say it!
"thats thoughtful of u! and i guess ur kinda pretty urself!" Robin couldn't help but smile a little, barely noticeable!
"kind of? thanks!" Nancy said, laughing, that made robin's stomach turn, but she blew it off as just being hungry!
it came to the end of lunch and robin and nancy were walking to robin's locker! "so, sorry for being a douche, i dont like speaking to new people, u were also annoying! so thats ur fault, but i am sorry!"
"apologie accepted!" she smiled softly
"this doesnt make us friends! just so ur aware!" Robin didn't know why she said that part, she just apologised and then said something kinda mean again!
"i know, bye Robin!" she waved and walked off!
When Nancy didnt speak to her the next day, Robin felt bad, and she kinda missed Nancy's smile and her laugh! but that didnt matter right? because she still hated Nancy! right??
