Sunday, September 18th
My hand explores around me as I wake up, and I don't feel the hard cushions of the couch. I blink myself awake until I finally see that I'm on the bed, not the couch where I once was last night.
Wait, if I'm on the bed then that must mean-
My head whips around to the left, but only to find that the other side of the bed is empty.
He's not there.
I sit up, leaning forward slightly so I can peek into the bathroom. The door is wide open, but no one is inside. My head tilts to look out the balcony next, and there he is. I flip the covers off my body, and I lower my feet onto the floor.
Killian is leaning against the railing in a tight t-shirt -that makes his biceps look bigger- and sweatpants. I open the sliding door, coming up from behind to greet him.
"Good morning," I say with a smile.
He snaps out of staring out into the city. "Hey." His eyes travel down to my chest before quickly diverting their attention back up to make eye contact.
I had forgotten what I was wearing.
I lean against the railing, and my lower back touches the cold metal. I rest my elbows on the railing, tilting my head to the side to look at his face.
I want to ask him how I got onto the bed last night, but I'd rather not make it awkward first thing in the morning.
"Your friends came by not too long ago." He informs me. "They told me that they wanted to get breakfast somewhere, and to be ready in an hour."
I stand up straight. "An hour? How long has it been since they said that?"
"About ten minutes."
"Ten minutes-" I abruptly head back into the room. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I didn't want to wake you up." He follows me back into the room, shutting the sliding door behind him.
I catch a glimpse of the couch. Killian's pillow and blanket are there, as well as his bag. I grab my own bag before turning around and walking backwards into the bathroom.
"I'm showering first."
