I was humming the song "Stay" while I was cooking for the group. It was a meal of ground hamburger and other seasonings. I added veggies to the mix, making sure I didn't add anything Hyunjin couldn't eat. Or wouldn't eat.
I put a pot of water on the stove, cooking a dozen corn on the cobs. I put a cover on the hamburger dish, making sure that it stayed hot.
"Hey (Y/N), need help?" I.N. asked me, smiling at me.
"Uh, I mean if you could set the table and make sure the others are ready for dinner," I said. Before I could even finish, Innie had rushed off to set the table - like the angel he is.
Once the corn was bright yellow and sunk to the bottom of the pot, I grabbed some hand towels and proceeded to drain some of the water. I left some of it to keep the corn warm.
I grabbed a fork and knife, proceeding to cut the corn kernels off of the cob. The members file in, sitting down at the table. I can feel them all staring at me as I cut the corn for dinner.
"What?" I ask, looking up at all of them. "What's wrong?"
They look at me like I have three heads. "Uh, (Y/N), we can eat the corn off the cob," Lee Know says, rolling his eyes playfully.
I roll my eyes back at him. "Yes well, I know you all are capable. But- when you have braces, you're not supposed to eat it off the cob...." I say, looking at Seungmin.
Minnie's eyes widen as he shrugs. "Oh, oops-" He chuckles nervously.
We sit in awkward silence for a minute before I start humming again.
"Just don't curse, and we'll be fine." Chan says in English, his Australian accent ringing through.
Innie nods and starts to laugh. "Mhm. Don't almost curse like I did."
I nod. "I'll be-"
"Messed up!"
"If you can't be right here." I sing, laughing as the members sing along. We all start singing as I serve dinner.
*small time skip*
After dinner, they all went their separate ways, preparing for the trip back to South Korea.
Minnie walked in again while I was doing dishes. "Hey, what's up?" I asked, drying my hands off.
He clasped his hands, becoming shy. "Oh, I just wanted to thank you for fixing the corn tonight..." He said quietly.
I chuckled and hugged him. He hugged me back, resting his head on top of mine. "Of course! It's not a problem." I said, making him smile.
He kissed the top of my head, leaving with a mischievous smile on his face as he left to go pack... ;)
